No Creed in Brisbane!

"Jeremy" Greaves

It seems that the fun never sets in the zany world of the Worldwide Anglican Non Communion (WANC), and the Primate of Australia, Archbishop Phillip Aspinall, has added to the hilarity by appointing Archdeacon Jeremy Greaves Assistant Bishop of Brisbane.

A Tired Old Crook, Archbishop Asspinall

Jeremy's a big supporter of gay marriage, go figure, and isn't too keen on the Creed either. Here he is, as reported by David Ould, in an interview with ABC Radio National:

Rachael Kohn: Do you specifically then have difficulties with the Apostles’ Creed that you might like to rewrite it or ditch it?
Jeremy Greaves: I’d be happy to abandon the Creed.

Greaves went on to say that abandoning traditional Christian terms and doctrine was problematic because it might offend congregations and have an impact on his salary.

“And for so many of us in ministry, we’re locked into a model where the people who sit in the pews pay our salaries, pay our way. I have a wife and three small children to support and so the challenge of being too prophetic and changing too many things too quickly is that there won’t be enough people left in the short term to help me survive financially, and that’s a brutal and very difficult challenge.”

Jeremy doesn't like the Creed, that's why he's a WANC bishop

Perhaps now that Greaves is a bishop, he won’t have to worry about that kind of financial shortfall, or the Creed. Whether any people remain in the pews of Brisbane remains to be seen.

Wales, This One's For You

Team LSP is pleased to present our Welsh readership with the Cardiff dance anthem classic, Something Good, by the Utah Saints. Here at the Compound we hope that you'll join our grassroots campaign for the re-release of this justifiably famous hit single.

Drawings of Welsh UFOs

In related news, Wales has seen a surge in UFO activity, with 476 sightings reported from January, 2015, to February this year. While some of the mysterious craft are of no known origin, others appear to be the high-flying Welsh Archbishop, Barry Morgan.

Barry Morgan Flying Above the Black Mountains

"I went for a walk in Talgarth, Mid Wales," stated one witness, "To the left of the mountain was a bright circular object rising diagonally up into the sky. It wasn’t a glider and it wasn’t the RAF jet which went over moments later. When I zoomed in [on the object] I saw that it was Barry Morgan. I just sat there wondering."

Barry Morgan was seen flying above the Bristol Channel earlier this month, and eye-witnesses claim to have seen the Archbishop drifting above Borth golf club.

Barry is famous for saying that gay marriage is biblical. He will retire in 2017.

Torpedo Los!

Here's the thing about the Torpedo. It works. I don't know why, I'm not an expert, but perhaps it's the spitting noise of the propeller, combined with a slow twitch retrieve.

Tiny Torpedo Topwater Lure

Maybe it's the color of the lure and the way it rolls in the water that triggers the aquatic predator to strike and strike hard. I don't know, perhaps it's all these things and more. But one thing is certain.

The Torpedo Works

The Torpedo works and works well. My Baby Bass variant has caught more fish in a month than I'd usually catch in a year. Granted, because of our enemy, the Weather, I've been fishing more and riding and shooting less.

Still, the Torpedo is a lure to be reckoned with, and they're cheap. Get yours at the local Walmart and catch some fish. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Tight lines,
