Let's Rock

Here we go now, turn it up, and before you scoff and sneer, can you ride? You know, like a horse.

Just asking,

LSP

PS. With apologies to WSF and all of you who've forgotten more riding stuff than I've ever learned. Still. Ride on, eh?

PPS. Some music kid turned to me, 25 years ago at least, and asked, "Where's the Bass, man?" I looked at that fool in my flat in Bloomsbury and he looked at me. Mona was on the juke. There was a silence. You'll be glad to know there wasn't a single head butt and no firearms were involved, not even the notoriously hidden Derringer in GJ's dubious custody. Boom, Hey Mona. Take that. Cheers, and if that's opaque, better yet :)

Your Best Pal,

Monday Admonishment

Who do you love? Your truck, your money, the British Army, what's left of it, the ritual of the Mass itself?, the idea of Rhodesia and the Selous Scouts? How very awesome, until it isn't.

I tell you, readers, there's no luggage rack on the back of a hearse; so store up treasure in heaven, strive for eternal value. Which reminds me of all these young brokers in London, back in the day, "Value!" they'd shout, while hoisting yet another champagne bottle before they got busted for *dealing.

Gross, eh, picture the scene, all kinds of hi-spirits. That in mind, crazy rain here and we thank God for this. Providence, kids, is both loving and implacable.

Your Old Pal,

LSP

Who Do You Love?

Who do you love? Anyone, anything? To put it another way, what do you really want, bread and power, the world, the flesh and devil or some other thing?

Your call. Sermon over,

LSP

Ain't No God In Mexico, This Speaker Rocks

You may not know this, how could you, but the Compound suffered catastrophic 'phone failure the other day. A venerable Samsung GS4  gave up the ghost, plunging LSPland into disarray and chaos. What a disaster.

Comms got on it right away and replaced the faulty unit with a reconditioned (used) GS6. Problem solved and with it, T Mobile's streaming music service, which lets you play music off of Amazon et al at no cost to your data. Good result and it meant a new Bluetooth speaker.

I opted for the JBL Flip 4 and guess what, it sounds really good. It's filling the porch with Waylon right now and I'm impressed with the clarity and depth of sound. The little beast beast kicks out some bass, too. Happy Trails? Why not.

Moral of the story? It's good when tech works for you instead of the other way around and, if you're after a cheapish, portable, waterproof Bluetooth speaker which sounds good, check out JPL's Flip 4. Review to follow.

Is there a God in Mexico? Listen to the song.

Bye Bye.

Loser

The hugely popular CNN host, Piers "Loser" Morgan, is threatening to leave America if we don't ban guns. Off you go then, and England, I hope you dodge the bullet.

Shoot straight.
