Some people simply get better with age, Emmylou Harris is one of those. Her voice, like Alison Krauss and others, is timeless and lifts the spirit. If you haven't seen "Linda Ronstadt:The Sound of My Voice"...their commentary is priceless, and the music is incredible. Simpler times, better times.
Who in his right mind could scorn Emmylou Harris? She can be lighthearted, funny, and mournful with equal ease. I don't think there is another artist I listen to more often.
On my frequent trips from KC to Marble Falls and Houston, I often stop and browse through the antique stores in downtown Guthrie, OK. On my last trip, I scored an LP, "Gliding Bird," her first album.
Rodney Crowell another of my favorite singer/songwriters, was also in the Hot Band.

I'll fight you for her. Any questions?
Scorn Emmylou? Never!

Most assuredly not.

Authentic and a decent human being.
I like Emmylou, but all of her band need haircuts - so take THAT!
Emmylou's a long time favorite of mine. As an aside, Ricky Skaggs once played in her band.
Sarthurk, it's not so much me you have to worry about as the monkey. Vicious little beast, I can tell you.
Mr. Infidel, we think as one.
I totally, 100% agree, PM.
Agreed, WWW.
And she's kept her looks, WSF. Nice.
LL, what a gang of SCRUFFS! You know what they say, "Get a haircut, hippy."
I didn't know that, Jim. Nice one.

Nice one, Joe. And yes, how could anyone in their right mind scorn Emmylou?
