The Royal Kraal |
Old Etonian Justin Welby has been enthroned as Archbishop of Canterbury to the sound of beating drums and tribal dancing. Maybe the new rhythm will help reverse the Church of England's precipitous decline into irrelevancy.

Maybe some ethnic-style liturgical dance will fill all those empty pews.
Fish Rising |
Who knows, perhaps Justin's awesome fish vestments are going to bring the people in, just like the priestesses haven't. You just never know... In the meanwhile, Cyprus' banks appears to have run out money, quite unlike ours.
Carry on.

here I thought us Catholics had a patent on this stupid silly crap, what a relief.
Prince Charley sure looked pinched up a bit, think he liked it??
LSP - I have one word for this - Gah, which is a cross between laughter and gagging.
Fish rising? Good one!
Question: Did anyone see circus clowns? They are very popular at Trinity Wall stree.
Wow, I just found your site. Very interesting! I would say politically and liturgically, we look to be on a similar page. I am a former Episcopalian now semi-traddy Catholic. Woot, love the Tradtional Latin Mass! I don't think our new Pontiff is going to be quite as traditionally minded as the Pope Emeritus. In fact, many of us are quite worried. But we shall see.
I have no idea where you live in Texas, but I plan on following your site. We would love to live in the country, and have a place in Harper, about 25 miles west of Fredericksburg, but due to our attachment to the TLM our options are decidedly limited in terms of permanent relocation. DFW is so darned big it's very difficult to get out into the country and stil keep a reasonable commute. C'est la vie! A little cross to bear.
My parents are still Anglican. Their pastor is Rev. David H. Roseberry, perhaps you know him. He's decidedly on the evangelical side, but morally traditional. As the split he helped engender in the Episcopal Church USA demonstrates. Have to say, the liturgy at his parish never moved me. But my mom grew up High Anglican. Ever been to Our Lady of the Atonement in San Antonio?
Dominus vobiscum!
I know, Egyptian, you are not alone... Have to wonder about Charley's take -- Camilla appeared to snigger...
Glad you liked the fish reference, Adrienne.
HTWS? What a goofy nightmare that is, TH.
Glad you like the site, Tantumblogo. Gotta love the Latin Mass!
I've been to Roseberry's place a couple of times -- not my scene and i agree with you; the Roman trads will be fine with F1. The libs will be cross that he's an, er, Catholic, however. Just you wait and see.
God bless.
