Church Of England Shocka

In a shocking new development, the Church of England's General Synod voted on Thursday to halt its controversial Living in Love and Freedom process, a multi-year initiative which attempted to broker gay blessing rituals into the life of the declining denomination.

For now, stand alone same-sex union ceremonies remain officially prohibited by the denomination, and clergy are not allowed to marry their gay partners. However, new gender and sexuality working groups will continue the gay debate.

The Synod's ruling left some on the rainbow wing of the Church heartrendingly disappointed, with one priestess, Claire Robson, stating that “the cost to my life and ministry is incalculable … Hopes have been dashed and apologies rendered meaningless.” Rev. Charlie Bączyk-Bell said his “heart was broken.” Here xhe is, in full rainbow weepdown (fwd to end):

How long will the Church of England and its Sinod be able to resist such impassioned pleas for gayness?  Will clergy persyns get gay married anyway in rainbow defiance of Church law? Will there even be a Church of England by the time its new sex studies groups have stopped talking? If not, that's one problem solved, Net Zero carbon emissions from the UK's shrinking national Church.

Cheers,

LSP

Brings to mind Clela Rorex, Boulder County Clerk and Recorder, who issued the first same sex marriage licenses in 1975, as there was no law against it. Later, a man insisted he wanted to marry his horse, as there was no law against it. Clela asked, "How old is your horse?" "Sorry, too young. You will need to provide written, notarized letters from both parents allowing the marriage. That is the law".
The Colorado Legislator, then solidly conservative, immediately passed a law stopping same sex marriages. Side note: Clela and I were in the same graduating class in high school.

Will they excommunicate homosexual priests and priestesses for sodomy?

Just another reason to avoid organized religion

Have any of these rainbow preachers even read the Bible?

WSF, how did Colorado turn so utterly Lib? Who ever saw that on their bingo card?

Mr Wolf, we can but hope.

Dear Anon, I know you're not a standard bearer for disorganized religion. Dam, maybe I am. Huh. See Medieval Catholicism.

Now that, Joe, is an excellent question. Let's be honest, they're apostate de facto satanists.

I come back to the need for exorcism - Job opportunity, LSP.

There's definitely a need, LL, no doubt about it.

LSP. Years ago four rich people devised what the called, the blue print". I won't explain it here. Google Jared Polis + the blueprint. After the bile abates, understand it has been shared by wealthy people in other states.

Thanks for that, WSF, will check this awfulness out.
