Christ The King

 

There is no other sovereign. Note this. He will come again in glory to judge both the quick and the dead. The Beast and its followers will be thrown into the lake of fire, the righteous will be gathered to Himself where they will be glorified in the Kingdom of God. So whose side are you on? Choose wisely, my friends.

Oremus:

Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all

things in thy well-beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Of the increase of His Kingdom there shall be no end. Take heart from that and know that the false shepherds, those wolves in sheep's clothing who care nothing for their people, are living on borrowed time.  Their days are numbered, Christ is bringing all things to their divinely appointed end, their τέλος. Which is what?

The Beast and its abhorrent followers will be cast into unquenchable fire and the righteous gathered to the Savior, where they will shine like the Sun in the glory of reflected radiance. Be sure, punters, all two of you, that we're on the right side of this equation when the boom inevitably lowers and the Man comes around. Take note.

Happy Independence Day!

 

Have a great Independence Day and don't forget to pray for our nation and its freedom. Here's a prayer:

Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage: We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favor and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
