I know the news cycle's shockingly fast, but do you remember the beautiful graffiti art installed in Canterbury Cathedral? Sure you do, in all its Peckham underpass (do they have those in Peckham? Ed.) splendour.
A cry for help, perhaps, from the dying Church of England, desperate to reach out to and engage the marginalized, dispossessed and unheard people of the United Kingdom. Except white working class people on the dole, obviously, can't have those, they don't read the Guardian.
Well there is that, but here, have a look at the artist they/them zhirself, Alex Vellis:
How very fetching. And here's the Dean of the Cathedral, who lives with his "wife," who's a man, obviously:
At what point, do you think, will the chalice of divine wrath be full? I reckon we have to be close, because this is getting mighty blasphemous. God, for all His infinite love, mercy and compassion will not be mocked. To put it another way, if you go against the Holy Spirit you will be relentlessly destroyed by that same Spirit. It's an axiom.

Not in my lane. They should heed your warning; this is in your lane.
Just watched "Constantine" with Keanu Reeves. A favorite in the Beans house.
Where am I going with this?
The CoE needs to be visited by some very hands-on exorcists. Maybe with swords and maces.
Bastards in the CoE need to meet the flames of purity. Am I calling for the burning of CoE officials? Yes, yes I am. Burn the rot, burn the very impure, burn the devils and demons out of all of them. Start afresh with actually holy people who have read and understand the actual bible, not read and understand it like most Congresscritters and judges 'understand' the US Constitution and Bill of Rights.
"Constantine". Quite. "I've got some cleaning up to do".
I see that guy's "art" all the time whenever a train goes by.
LSP: I have a question on a related issue. Here in the US, our Treasury Secretary is also 'married' to a man (with two boys living with them), is an elder in a Rainbow Church, and worked for George Soros as his Foundation's top financial advisor until last November. Our VP is under the thumb of flaming homo Peter Thiel who's trying to unite Christian Nationalist and Prosperity-Gospel megachurches into a voting bloc. Then, Ric Grennell, our 'Special Envoy' also lives with a man and called Trump 'the Most Gay-Friendly President in History' and arranged homo fundraisers at Mar-a-Lago. The WH is considering putting a Lesbo as UN Ambassador. I could come up with other examples---and don't even get me started on Musk's perversions. Even in Foreign Policy, we support States like Israel which are even more anti-Christian and pro-homo than the US or UK.
My question is why do think that Conservatives seem to have no problem with any of this, or even seem mildly concerned about any of it?
Not widely known would have something to do with it.
I have a feeling that not wanting to know might be closer to the truth.
You may well be right.
Or not caring
That's a vibe I've been getting too, mostly with the impact of policy decisions. I don't think a lot of them do care as long as the people they hate are being affected. It's like somebody commented the other day: a lot of them wouldn't care if they were reduced to a cardboard box on a street-corner so long as their neighbor who voted for Kamala is in a smaller box on a worse street.
Here's the thing about Gheys and Queers and all the limp-wristed cadre and conservatives.
Simple thing is, if someone does their damned job without bullscattery, that's good. Black, white, yellow, brown, Christian, Jew, muslim, Shinto, Buddist, whatever. Gay, straight, weird, whatver.
Just do your darned job and do it well and not cause problems.
Wanna be a goth in an office? Don't cause problems. Wanna be a medieval-loving weirdo at work? Don't cause problems.
That's why Trump 'allows' gays and other 'non-traditional conservatives' and women and such to work in his administration. If they're doing their darned jobs well, who cares?
Does Cary Grant being a polesmoker make him less of one of the greatest actors in movie history? No. Because he didn't let his gayness hurt his workness. He could flame-on all he wanted not in the public eye, but in the public eye or at work, just do the darned job.
Beans: Cary Grant was probably right for his job since he was a good dancer and the producers didn't have to worry about him chasing the showgirls around and causing scandal. But that brings up the question of whether these people are qualified to do things like run Governments (or churches).
Let's take Bessent's case for one example out of many. His previous job experience included facilitating Soros' black-budget operations like funding Migrant Caravans and Color Revolutions. His financial experience was bankrupting a half-dozen East European economies so that they were forced to join the EU; crashing the British Pound and nearly crashing the Chinese Yuan. Are you arguing that nobody else might have been a better choice?
