"We just don't get it," said Bud "Dwayne" Dingles of Capitol Records Nashville. "Is it like, some sort of joke? I don't understand the punchline. Is it the beard? Because it's a nice beard, but it doesn't really make me laugh." Dingles went on to point out that the viral single "Rich Men North of Richmond" by the artist in question, Oliver Anthony, doesn't mention drinking beer while driving a truck on the backroads with a "girl all up in it" a single time, doesn't have a guest hip-hop artist, and doesn't appear to just be a pop track with a quiet banjo track added in post.

"This will never catch on, and it's antithetical to our values as the gatekeepers of country music," Dingles added. "Maybe if this Anthony fellow goes out and gets himself a college education and learns to write a catchy radio tune that's barely indistinguishable from what you hear on the pop stations, then he'll be going somewhere."

But Dingles isn't optimistic about Anthony's chances of making it in the country music industry.

"I want something peppy, something happy, something up-tempo. I want something snappy. None of this tragic lamentation crap being all sad about the actual plights of people from the actual country - that's not what country music is all about."

Years ago I went to Mount Sinai with some Jewish friends, I was fifteen. What a remarkable thing to see the sun rise from the top of the Holy Mountain over the desert as Bedouin tribes crossed the sand, far below. It was a picture out of the Old Testament and beautiful for it.

As we climbed down from the peak, my friend's Father, an eminent neuro-endrocrynologist (!), went all '70s, "Moses must've been a hard man, leading all those Jews, for forty years, through the wilderness." His Father, gentle readers, was a Viennese  Rabbi until the Nazis did for him. 

That in mind, do you think God smote the Hitlerites with extreme prejudice because of their murderous hatred towards his chosen people? I'd argue yes, but feel free to disagree.

Operation Bagration

 

Everyone who knows any history, you know, the subject which isn't taught anymore in US schools, knows about Operation Barbarossa, the German invasion of Russia. Fewer still have heard of Operation Bagration, launched on June 22, 1940 by the Soviet Army against German Army Group Center, Heeresgruppe Mitte, which held a significant salient stretching East and North from Belarussia.

The German force consisted of some 849,000 troops including support personnel, 3,236 artillery pieces, 495 operational tanks and assault guns and 602 operational aircraft. Against them, the Russians assembled a force of over 1.5 million men (2.5?), 32,718 artillery pieces and mortars, 5,818 tanks and assault guns and 7,799 aircraft. 

The Soviet assault on entrenched German positions began at 5 am on the morning of June 22 with a massive rolling artillery barrage, the most intense of the war to that point. Within weeks the German front line had collapsed, leaving the way open for the Red Army to advance on Poland and Prussia.

Bagration was a catastrophic defeat for the Germans, who suffered an estimated 400,000 casualties, including over 2000 tanks and 800 aircraft. 31 of 47 German divisional or corps commanders were killed or captured. 57,000 captured Germans were paraded through Moscow on July 15, 1944. The column took a full 90 minutes to pass.

The Germans, most certainly from Bagration on, would pay dearly for Barbarossa. That in mind, you'd think the demented clowns who nominally run what used to be the Free World, to say nothing of their handlers, would look closely to history. Russia might want to do the same.

Mariupol Surrender

After a weeks long last ditch holdout in the Azovstal Bunker, an 11 square km steel plant in Ukraine's Mariupol, members of the AZOV regiment and ancillary forces finally had enough. Starved of ammunition, food, water, medicine and under continuous bombardment they started to surrender.

Yesterday saw some 250 able bodied soldiers and 50 severely wounded hand themselves over to the Russian/Allied forces, who sent them on their way to hospital and "filtration" centers." Here's a video of one batch surrendering:

AZOV, which started off life as a paramilitary militia during the 2014 Maidan, grew into a fully fledged fighting force and was eventually incorporated into the Ukrainian Army within the command structure of Zelensky's secret police, the SBU. Not dissimilar, when you think of it, to the SS.

Similarity notwithstanding, AZOV and associated Ukrainian units draw heavily on the symbols and ideology of Hitler's doomed Reich and, reportedly, more than a few of their methods. Good luck with filtration, boys.

There were evidently around 14,000 Ukrainian troops deployed to defend Mariupol against the RF. Over the course of the battle this dwindled to perhaps 8,000 at the time of encirclement and finally to something like 2,500 in Der Bunker. These are now surrendering and I don't blame them, not for a second.

According to RF sources the surrender continues en masse tonight, with AZOV crawling out of the cracks and tunnels of the shattered steel plant "like cockroaches."

So there you have it. Two questions for all you experts out there. First, Russia and its Lugansk, Donetsk proxies went into this war outnumbered, not least in Mariupol. Why? Second, how come literal armed Nazi Frei Korps style Nazis are running around in Ukraine and we're supporting them. Why?

I suggest 1: Because Russian intel severely messed up, projecting a Crimean solution (where most of the UKR forces/police went over to the RF) onto an very different context and 2: Because Ukrainian nationalism was never denazified, far from it, and hey, the enemy of our enemy is our friend despite all the rainbow trans garbage agitprop.

The latter, curiously, has persuaded hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of leftists to enthusiastically support the MIC (Military Industrial Complex). Well done, PsyOps. And whereat Poland?

A Day of Rest

 

After the rigors of Holy Week it only seemed right to take a day of rest at family HQ in Dallas. Blue agreed and wasted no time falling to sleep on a Moslem rug, not that he's a Moslem, by the beard of the Prophet, but he does like their rugs.

As do I, but rugs aside you may have noticed something about the soldiers fighting in the Ukraine. There's all sorts, obviously, but some seem more equal than others, they're bigger and older, as if construction worker turned gunfighter. 

Shades, when you think on it, of the German veterans who went into the Ardennes, or something like that. Huh. Modern war as deconstruction site and soldiers as its lethal tradesmen and laborers? Respect to both, but still.

Speaking of the Ardennes, imagine you were wandering around inna woods of Ukraine with, say, an SS dagger, just coz, and you were captured by some Chechens. What would you say:

A. I just found it, honest!

B. I'm a battlefield archeologist, my good sir.

C. Give a crisp Seig Heil, sing a verse of Erika and wait to be recruited into the WAGNER PMC?

 

All options are risky and I'd have gone for unspoken option D. Lose that bad boy before you get captured. Some guy didn't the other day in Mariupol and looked more than a little sheepish. Maybe he's still alive, unlike this unfortunate.

The Fall of Mariupol, or Total War Cometh?

 

Here we are, on Easter Monday, and birds sing, the sky is mostly clear of chemtrails, and all's well except for the fact that the most ferocious war on European soil since the '40s is taking place before our eyes. No small thing, and some of you doubtless have friends engaged in the conflict. Get home safe, guys. But what's the story?

I don't pretend to know, though it's curious that Western State agitprop's been lockstep in defending cokehead, actor clown Zelensky. And we have to ask, how many of our overlord$ were making ma$$ive amounts of cash out of this unfortunate eastern European country?

It seems the Ukraine, like some kind of casino where the bank always wins and you are the bank, was jackbot all the way. Regardless. Mariupol's about to fall after an extreme fight, and what next? Phase two of this ill-begotten war. As in Russia goes hard. Let's see how that pans out.

The war in Ukraine has reached a new and vicious low. Men who self-identify as women, derisively called "trannies" by hate speech Nazis are being turned back at the Ukrainian border and told to fight. Yes, by Ukrainian border guards. ZeroHedge reports:

Two trans women interviewed by the Guardian shared similar stories about border guards telling them to turn back and join the fight.

"'Go to the war', they replied, adding that more than 3 million people had already fled the country and they weren't going to let me out."

Alice, 24, a trans woman from Brovary, a town near Kyiv, recounted a similar experience. She and her wife, Helen, a 21-year-old who identifies as non-binary, were stopped by border guards during an attempt to cross into Poland.

"They took us to a building near the border crossing,” recounts Alice. "There were three officers in the room. They told us to take off our jackets. They checked our hands, arms, checked my neck to see if I had an Adam’s apple. They touched my breasts. After examining us, border guards told us we were men. We tried to explain our situation but they didn’t care."

Interestingly, the American press didn't pick up the story. Could this be because it might undermine the bright shiny (definitely not nazi-ish) new heroic image of the Ukrainian government, which has been the subject of almost unanimously positive coverage in the American press?

Religious leaders around the world, like Justsin Welby, Pope Francis and Foley improbably named Beach have condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Quite right too, we hate war, but consider. Imagine you were Head of State, a veritable Vladimir Putin.

Imagine, and then consider your borders. Would you put up with, if you had a choice, a hostile power financing and controlling bioweapons labs in a neighboring state and threatening to join a military alliance against you? 

It sounds weird and preposterous, but that's exactly what we've been doing. Gay Pride Ukraine and big woke Trannie Corp's gonna take down monster Putin and turn Russia into a rainbow utopia.

Sunday Sermon - Christ Walks on Water

Christ walks across the water of the lake to the disciples' boat, which is being beaten by the waves. After rescuing Peter, who goes out to meet him and sinks, Jesus enters the boat, stills the storm and guides the ship to shore.

The imagery is powerful. Jesus, appearing in the midst of the turbulent water in the darkness of the 4th Watch. So too is the symbol. The ship of the church, the ark of salvation, is beaten by waves of disbelief, iniquity, and hate only to rescued by Christ.

This is true in every age, not least our own, but consider. As in the miracle, Christ saves his church. For example, he raises up El Cid and Charles Martel, and the False Prophet is driven from Spain and France. The Jihad is routed by Sobieski in 1683 and Vienna saved, the evil, satanic Nazis are utterly defeated and the Iron Curtain blown away like so much noxious smoke.

Point being, as surely as he came to the beleaguered disciples in the midst of the lake, Christ saves his Mystical Body from the tempest which rages against her. He will save the church in our age too if we remain faithful, even desperately so, and cry out with Peter, "Lord, save me!" That must be our prayer.

There, in the act of faith, shouting out in the darkness, against all the odds, lies the path to paradise. Christ catches Peter by the hand, restores him to the safety of the boat, and in the end, to Paradise itself, the far shore of the lake.

So take heart. Our lord and Savior is infinitely more powerful than the iniquity which rages against his Body the church and against us, his faithful.

Skorzeny Requiem

Otto Skorzeny, the same Otto who rescued a doomed Benito in a Fieseler Storch, went on to live and prosper. Skorzeny wasn't charged with war crimes, he lived instead in Portugal and elsewhere, and lived handsomely. Why?

Could it be that Otto was subcontracted by our own Power to do its "wetwork"? Don't say Kennedy. Instead, watch this short clip of the spec ops supremo's Requiem, and ask yourself, how many people in the funeral worked for US.

The Great Nazigasm Of 2017

It was a beautiful, stirring vision. America, by 2017, was going to be a rainbow-hued, sushi-eating transutopia, all under the beneficent gaze of the country's first ever woman President, Hillary herself. Like Sweden but better and bigger. Then disaster struck, the nation elected a man who put ketchup on his steak and lived in a golden tower.

Staring in thwarted infantile agony at their field of shattered dreams, libs everywhere fell into an irrational, hysterical frenzy. Someone or something, anything but themselves, had to be at fault and there it was, Russia! Putin hacked the election, putting a Kremlin spy into the White House but Russia frenzy could only last so long under the burden of no proof whatsoever. 

That sad little unicorn wasn't going to fly despite the best efforts of Blitzer, Maddow, Waters & Co; something else was needed. And lo and behold, boom! Nazism. It was Hitler's fault!

Hitler made Donald Trump a Nazi. And we know this because Trump doesn't think statues of Confederate generals should be smashed but does think that Nazi racists and Anarcho-Marxist revolutionaries are both wrong. That's pretty National Socialist, eh? And we've always known that General Lee was a time-travelling member of the Waffen SS. Columbus, Washington, Jefferson? The Constitution? All Nazi.

The police? Nazis. Gender binary bathrooms? Nazi. Freedom of speech? Nazi. Having a border? Very Nazi. Small government and lower taxes? Disgustingly Nazi. Saying no to Islamic terror? Yes, hideously Nazi.

Perhaps you don't think that makes much sense, that it's the kind of thing someone suffering from dropped-on-head-as-infant syndrome might believe. Well then, racist, you're a Nazi  and maybe you need to change your name to Martin Bormann and stop being such a Gauleiter.

In fact, everyone who isn't a Democrat and a member of Antifa is a Nazi. And that's just the way it is in the great Nazigasm of 2017.

As witnessed on the campuses of so-called higher learning and elsewhere, the champions of inclusion and tolerance don't seem very good at being, well, inclusive or tolerant. The late Richard Neuhaus, in The Unhappy Fate of Optional Orthodoxy, described them as a "rampaging harridan":

The new liberal orthodoxy of recent decades is hard and nasty; compared to it, the old orthodoxy was merely quaint. The old orthodoxy was like a dotty old uncle in the front parlor; the new orthodoxy is a rampaging harridan in the family room.

A set of radical ethical imperatives, for sure, to say nothing of good old fashioned revolutionary ardour. And what lies behind this? Neuhaus parses the issue in terms of "identity" and "experience":

Proponents of the new orthodoxy will protest, with some justice, that they, too, are committed to normative truths. These truths, however, are not embodied in propositions, precedent, ecclesial authority, or, goodness knows, revelation. They are experiential truths expressing the truth of who we truly are —“we” being defined by sex, race, class, tribe, or identifying desire (“orientation”).

He goes on:

With the older orthodoxy it is possible to disagree, as in having an argument. Evidence, reason, and logic count, in principle at least. Not so with the new orthodoxy. Here disagreement is an intolerable personal affront. It is construed as a denial of others, of their experience of who they are. It is a blasphemous assault on that most high god, “My Identity.”

There can be no appeal against this other than an assertion of identity, of self, and the rules of that playing field are at best a short step away from a raw assertion of power, to a triumph of the will that allows no dissent, whatsoever.
