Go To Town

The Anglo-Catholic Society of the Holy Cross (SSC) was founded on February 28, 1855, and to celebrate the anniversary I drove to St. Andrew's, Grand Prairie for Mass, lunch and an excellent talk by a faithful priest.

"Cult, sacred order," he advised, "transliterates into culture." Well said, and the "culture war," in his opinion, is a misnomer. More a matter of those without the sacral and therefore without culture fighting against those who do.

Better then, thought our speaker, to say we're in a war of anti or no culture versus its opposite. Good call, and it speaks to the nihilist, destructive aspect of our secular orthodoxy.

But I won't preach. It was good to meet with faithful priests and bishops today. A breath of fresh air and Blue enjoyed it too, though he became confused and worried by the unfamiliar expanse of St. Andrew's church garden. So he went back to the truck, where he slept soundly.

In the meanwhile, war drums beat louder.

Bombs?

Everyone's forgotten, perhaps, about John Durham's investigation into the kind of skulduggery and malfeasance that'd make a Watergate investigator blush. That's right, alleged DNC/Hillary campaign spying on a political rival and beyond, aided and abetted by the FBI and others.

But here's Kash Patel:

This story is the biggest political scandal and criminal scandal in US history… John Durham has interviewed 24 people in the Grand Jury to include, CIA case officers, FBI agents and directors, leadership in the Clinton Campaign cycle, and they’ve indicted her lawyer. So this is just starting. It’s how you build a criminal conspiracy case. And they’re not going to be able to ignore indictments once they start coming in… Michael Sussman and Marc Elias were the lead attorneys for the Clinton Campaign. They were paid millions and millions of dollars to perpetuate the Steele Dossier fraud. And now we know they were paid millions of dollars to go out and buy false information from a tech executive… And here’s the worst part. They secured a “sensitive arrangement” with someone in government to gain access to White House servers. That means someone in government gave them permission and paid the contracting tech executive company’s firm to allow that work to happen. That could only have been done with the utilization of the intelligence community willingly. And that to me is the biggest criminal scandal that we have yet to talk about… (on John Durham) He’s going to deliver. This guy is unraveling the biggest criminal conspiracy against a sitting president in the United States history.

Kharkov Today

Bombs indeed, will any hit the target? In the meanwhile, curry's simmering on the stove like a champion and war explodes in the East. I'm aghast at that, the war not the curry, we haven't seen anything like it in Europe since the 1940s. Please pray for peace.

War

Seems like war's on. But consider the religious aspect. Read this, it's important:

As Patriarch Kirill of Moscow, the head of the ROC, explained in early 2019, “Ukraine is not on the periphery of our church. We call Kiev ‘the mother of all Russian cities.’ For us Kiev is what Jerusalem is for many. Russian Orthodoxy began there, so under no circumstances can we abandon this historical and spiritual relationship. The whole unity of our Local Church is based on these spiritual ties.”

What spurred Patriarch Kirill to make that statement was the separation of much of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from Russia in early 2019 with the creation of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, with go-ahead from the Ecumenical Patriarch in Constantinople (i.e., Istanbul: who is the not-a-pope of world Orthodoxy, where national churches are self-governing). This involved the transfer of thousands of parishes and millions of believers from the long-existing Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, which has been under the ROC since the seventeenth century, to the brand-new OCU. The UOC-MP is self-governing under Moscow and there wasn’t much spiritual demand in Ukraine for independence from Russia, what Orthodox term autocephaly.

However, the pressures of the not-quite-frozen conflict with Russia after 2015 made church issues a political football, and Ukraine’s then-President Petro Poroshenko made autocephaly his pet project, with backing from Ukrainian nationalists, who found it offensive that the UOC remained under Moscow, where the church is a vehicle for Putinism, Russian nationalism, and anti-Ukrainian aggression. Advocates of the new OCU had a valid point there, and they were also correct that, since autocephaly is the norm in the Orthodox world, why didn’t Ukraine have its own, fully independent national church?

The answer there, that Orthodoxy tends to move on “Orthodox time” which appears glacially slow to secular minds, thinking more in terms of centuries than years or even decades, was unedifying to advocates of the OCU, who got their wish in early January 2019, when the Ecumenical Patriarch granted autocephaly to Ukraine’s new national church. What followed was predictably messy and politicized, with fights across Ukraine over parishes and clergy. This issue is neither simple nor clear-cut: the OCU is considered broadly nationalist (with exceptions) while the UOC, despite its Russian connections, has many laypeople who are Ukrainian patriots who don’t feel they belong to a “foreign” church. Moreover, this issue birthed a schism in global Orthodoxy that has reverberated on several continents, most recently in Africa. The OCU-UOC split has even caused heartburn among American Orthodox believers.

Above all, the schism rendered Moscow white-hot with rage. The ROC viewed this as a direct attack on its “canonical territory” and on world Orthodoxy itself. The Kremlin, too, made no effort to conceal its outrage here. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov quickly denounced the Ecumenical Patriarch as Washington’s puppet: “His mission, obviously, is being prepared by the Americans and they do not hide that they are actively cooperating with him, using the slogan of ‘freedom of religion and belief’…Bartholomew’s mission, obviously, is to bury the influence of Orthodoxy in the modern world.” A few weeks later, Lavrov added fuel to the fire by castigating the OCU as “this travesty of history, and pursuing the objective of sowing discord between Russia and Ukraine in addition to preventing our peoples from being friends are essentially a crime [by the current Ukrainian regime] against their citizens.” A few months after that, Lavrov reiterated that this tragedy was all America’s fault: the ROC “is currently under tremendous pressure from a number of Western countries, primarily the United States, which set itself the goal of destroying the unity of world Orthodox Christianity.”

It’s an article of faith in the Kremlin that the creation of the OCU is an American project designed to destroy world Orthodoxy and harm Russia. It’s painful for me to state this but the Russians have good reason to think this. Unlike absurd Kremlin propaganda lines about “Ukrainian Nazis” perpetrating “genocide” against Russians, the idea that Washington wanted the split of Orthodoxy in Ukraine is a reasonable inference upon examination of recent U.S. Government conduct. What’s the evidence?

Our Kyiv embassy congratulated the OCU for its birth and the selection of its first primate, then the State Department in Washington amplified the same. Celebrating Constantinople’s grant of autocephaly, then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo hailed it as a “historic achievement for Ukraine” which represented America’s “strong support for religious freedom.” Pompeo’s statement left no doubt about America’s backing the OCU against the UOC. Pompeo’s position in the worldwide Orthodox schism was made clear by his subsequent meeting with the Ecumenical Patriarch, whom the Secretary of State hailed as “a key partner as we continue to champion religious freedom around the globe.” Neither was this a partisan project, since the position of the Biden administration on this issue is identical to its predecessor’s. Four months ago, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also met with the Ecumenical Patriarch, reaffirming U.S. commitment to religious freedom, which in Moscow unsurprisingly looked like support for the OCU.

Since very few Americans, and functionally no non-Orthodox ones, noticed any of this, it’s worth asking why the State Department felt compelled to take a public position on any of this. Does Foggy Bottom side with Sunni or Shia? What about Lutheranism versus Methodism? Who in Washington thought it was a good idea to throw its weight behind the OCU, since anybody who knew anything about Putinism and its religious-civilizational mission had to be aware that such statements were guaranteed to raise Moscow’s ire.

That ire has now taken the form of air strikes, missile barrages, and advancing tank battalions. Just last month, Lavrov restated his government’s position that the United States stands behind the “current crisis in Orthodoxy.” As he explained without any word-mincing, Washington caused “the most serious dispute in the entire Orthodox world,” adding, “The United States of America had an immediate hand in the current crisis in Orthodoxy. They created a special mechanism, a special agency for the freedom of religious confession, which actually is not dealing with freedom but most actively set up and financed Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew so that he conducted a device for schism, particularly in Ukraine, in the first place, for creating there the schismatic, uncanonical Orthodox Church of Ukraine.”

We should not indulge Muscovite conspiracy theories nor countenance Russian aggression. However, the facts are plain enough. Simply put, by recognizing the OCU and hailing its creation, Washington changed the Kremlin’s game in Ukraine, making Putin’s long-term plans for his neighbor untenable. Without a united Orthodox Church across the former lands of Rus, answering to Moscow, the “Russian World” concept falls apart. Every secular geostrategic challenge cited as a reason for Putin’s aggression – NATO expansion, Western military moves, oil and gas politics – existed in 2014, yet Putin then chose to limit his attacks on Ukraine to Crimea and the Southeast. What’s changed since then that makes his effort to subdue all Ukraine seem like a good idea in the Kremlin? The creation of an autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine in 2019, with official American backing, is the difference, and Moscow believes this was all a nefarious U.S. plot to divide world Orthodoxy at Russia’s expense. Clearly Putin has decided that reclaiming Ukraine and its capital, “the mother of Russian cities,” for Russian Orthodoxy is worth a major war. Make no mistake, this is a religious war, even if almost nobody in the West realizes it.

Make no mistake, this is a religious war, even if almost nobody in the West realizes it. Good call.

Tears Of A Clown

Canada's Prime Minister, laughingly known as Justine Trudeau, has revoked the Emergency Powers Act he invoked 10 days ago. He's confident that "existing laws and bylaws are now sufficient to keep people safe." Right. So what changed?

Surely not the threat of a #canadabankrun, the Senate failing to pass their Crime Minister's emergency powers or tanking polling. Surely not. Canada's safe now because all those greasy truckers and their bouncy castles have been cleared from the nation's capital. The dire wolf threat of the hot tub insurrectionists is over. Or is it.

NS Lyons in an excellent essay makes the point that the trucker protest highlighted the rift between Physicals and Virtuals, between people who work in physical space, like truckers, and those who don't. Problem being that Virtuals still depend on physical reality for their existence, however much they write it off as "social construct." An affair of the mind. Sorry, zhirself, no food going to Ottawa via trucks = No lattes.

Perhaps Justine had an epiphany and did a massive U Turn, perhaps the banksters told him so. In the meanwhile, Tamara Lich is still in gaol, charged, bizarrely, with "mischief" and American truckers are rolling.

The Virtual v. Physical war continues to unfold, and I know which side the Compound's on.

Pump Up The Volume

Here we go now,

LSP

It's President's Day

Leaving aside the thorny question of do we have one, it's President's Day, and what a day it's been. Canada's Crime Minister's been asking Parliament to approve his martial law powers on an "ongoing" basis. Who knows, the truck insurgents might return, threatening the life, livelihood, prosperity and democratic principles of Canada itself.

Devil SinBad

Canada's Traitor Parliament is set to vote on this very thing tonight. We're not betting men, but the Compound wagers a guinea Trudeau's EA remains in place along with its loathsome Chrystia Freeland steal all your money adjunct, and that protests will continue. Bets on, gentlemen and women! But that's not all.

New Constantine

Russian strongman and former KGB Colonel Vladimir Putin signed treaties today with Donbass and Lugansk, acknowledging the territories as sovereign states and assuring their security in the face of Ukrainian aggression. Russian troops are moving into the region at the time of writing.

Take Note

Will the Western Power, America, go to war over this and if we did, to what benefit? The stakes are high, World War III, and we have to ask. Is a single drop of American blood worth shedding over Eastern Ukrainian sovereignty.

Perhaps that depends on how much vested 10% interest the Big Guy's got in the region, to say nothing of Nancy Pelosi's son, John Wooden Top Kerry's son, Mittens Romney's son, the Clintons and all the rest. So bets on.

The Compound wagers two guineas on Putin's bluff, what? Devil take the hindmost.

Polish Hussars

As reported by LL, 300,000 Polish Hussars are riding to defend Europe and reestablish the Polish-Lithuanian Empire. This is laudable and heroic.

But Hussars, listen, a once great and free country is besieged by the heathen. The True North Strong And Free is under grievous attack. Hear their cries, ride to the defense of Canada as you rode for Vienna! Freedom and the Faith hangs in the balance.

Not kidding about that last part and neither is the DLC on the former.

Just Look At This Racist

Sometimes a picture's worth a thousand words, and then there's film. Have a look at this far-right racist extremist in Ottawa.

What. A. Racist. Good thing the Rainbow Canadian State's shut these violent white supremacist Nazis down.

That in mind, a couple of Canadian expat churchmen told me after Mass this morning that friends of theirs in Ontario had been called on by police for daring to express support for the Convoy(s) on Facebook. As in, "Don't do that again or you go to jail and we'll take all your money, maybe kill your dog. You Fascists."

Gentlemen and women, the stainless steel face of GloboCap liberal fascism exposes itself for all to see. Maybe this is a good thing.

She's in jail and her bank account's frozen because terrorist. Wake up. Beyond words. Maybe you think you won't be next.

Well Done Calgary

A day after Trudeau's Stasi took on Ottawa protesters the people of Calgary took to the streets in defiance of  their country's Rainbow Potentate. Protests also broke out in Quebec City and Winnipeg where truck convoys are moving into position, as they are on the BC border. Toronto's come out too, along with other smaller protests in Ontario and elsewhere.

I'd say that was brave. Bear in mind, the people doing this are being threatened with jail, the seizure of property, bank accounts and, in Ottawa, the death of their pets. What? Seriously, get arrested, go to jail and we'll kill your dog if you don't or can't reclaim it after 8 days, says OPP.

Smooth move, Ottawa police, whose interim Supremo's vowed to hunt down and persecute convoy supporters in the months ahead. Well played, Colin, now the protesters in Canada's capital don't have any incentive to leave.

Ottawa aside, it looks like the protest against government tyranny's spreading. So what are they going to do, arrest everyone, start shooting? I don't think so. Maybe an announcement saying the science has changed would be in order. But don't hold your breath, expect the Stasi and the power behind them to escalate.

In the meanwhile, well done Calgary and get your cash outta the banks.

NO CASH FOR YOU NAZI

One of the best things about our rainbow overlords is that they can take our cash, just like that, on suspicion of being anti-state. Quite right too! Especially if you're a Canadian.

In Canada you're not allowed to have money in a bank if you disagree with the State. In fact, Canadian banks have been ordered by the STATE to seize your money if they even suspect you of being seditious, of having the brazen gall to criticize the STATE.

Solution? Withdraw your money from the banks, immediately. If that wasn't obvious before, it sure should be now. Don't feed the Beast.

Your Financial Advisor,

LSP

I'm Sickened

We all knew it was coming, Manhattan Infidel even said as much, "The STATE WINS." As in, don't you step outta line, serfs, or we'll ride you down, freeze your bank accounts, take your property, lock up your kids and kill your dogs.

That's the spirit, spirit of the age as evidenced today in Ottawa. I tell you, watching veterans being attacked by riot cops, only obeying orders, made me feel sick to my stomach. To say nothing of other people, hauled off to jail for brazenly standing against what's now obvious, a Rainbow Stasi State.

Like, how dare you oppose us! So, freedom died today in Canada, and there you are, Canadians, living in a biomed police state. Maybe you want to leave the country? Good luck with that, peasant, you'll have to escape across the border or take an experimental vax which might or might not kill you.

That we're here, now, appalls me. Two weeks to flatten the curve has turned to full-on Stasi repression, and maybe that's what it was all about all along. In the meanwhile, the Left loves it, except for Canada's Communist Party which curiously doesn't. Look it up if you have the energy.

Trudeau Calls Jewish MP Nazi

Justin Trudeau went full everyone I don't like is Hitler on Wednesday in Canada's Parliament, accusing Jewish MP Melissa Lantsman of supporting Nazism. Her crime?

Supporting Canadians' right to protest and accusing the Prime Minister of fanning "the flame of an unjustified national emergency." When "did the Prime Minister lose his way?" she asked with brazen NSDAP temerity.

Trudeau, popularly known as Justine, ripped back, "Conservative Party members can stand with people who wave swastikas. They stand with people who wave the Confederate flag." Lantsman, whose grandparents survived the holocaust, was unimpressed and demanded an apology on social media.

You can watch the deplorable Judeo-Reich Lantsman question Trudeau here, and while you're at it wonder at the deceit, duplicity and outright mendacity, the doublethink of Canada's GloboCap rulers and their shills in Parliament.

Wow. Look at you, Jew, you're a Nazi, and you'd better watch out or we'll seize your bank account and put you in a camp. For the health of the nation. The irony is deafening.

There have been precisely two people out of tens of thousands in Ottawa photographed carrying Trudeau's far right extremist flags. They were conveniently walking next to legacy media photographers.

Trudeau's Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland's grandfather edited a Nazi magazine in the Ukraine before fleeing the doomed Reich. The Freedom Convoy is calling for a general strike even as their leaders are being arrested and bank accounts confiscated by the Canadian State.

Perhaps you think this can't happen here.

Thanks to a ferocious backlash against Tom Petty's amazing smash hit, awesome single Won't Back Down, the Compound's offering a different set of tunes to back the world's epicenter freedom protest. Here they are.

Then there's CONVOY, our favorite.

Won't Back Down

Well, well. Martial law north of the border because racism, transphobia, bouncy castles and sheer, bigoted, violent, white supremacist, working and every class push-back against Canada's biomed Stasi tyranny.

I say again, why and when did the Left go full anti working class? We all know, when the workers of the world notoriously didn't support the Bolshevik revolutionary satanists in 1917 and beyond. So they branched off to more fertile ground, academia.

And what a Frankfort School success they've made of it. Media, schools, local government, the entire air we breathe. Then comes that knotty problem, the actual working class, in the form of trucks saying NO. Whaddya do, Rainbow Maple Leaf ? Declare martial law and TAKE THEIR MONEY? Precisely that.

Wow. Will the serfs knuckle under and obey their Rainbow Rulers, in the name of diversity, tolerance and inclusion? Or will they HOLD THE LINE. I don't know but calling war powers/martial law sounds like pretty last ticket stuff to me.

What if the bluff's called? You gonna shoot them, Justine, and their children? Let's see how this plays out.

Happy Valentines Day Canada

Here at the Compound we hope everyone's had a day of blissful and enchanting love, but especially the people of Canada who now live in a state of martial law. That's right, Canada's beloved ruler Justin Trudeau, popularly known as "Justine" chose today of all days to enact the never before used Emergency Powers Act.

The Act gives Canada's beloved GloboCap Tyrant Prime Minister sweeping police powers to arrest, jail, prohibit movement and seize personal property. This includes bank accounts, which can now be frozen by financial institutions on suspicion of anti-State activity.

Here's Canada's Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Unironically Freeland:

“A bank or other financial service provider will be able to immediately freeze or suspend an account without a court order (banks) will be protected against civil liability for actions taken in good faith.”

And that's not all:

"If your truck is being used in these illegal blockades, your corporate accounts will be frozen, the insurance on your vehicle will be suspended."

The provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec have told Trudeau they won't be enforcing his tyranny. What does this mean? That the Rainbow Jackboot falls on Ontario, for sure, see Ambassador Bridge, and on anyone within reach of federal stasi power.

And just like that, the Canadian Left declares war on the working class. Some people predict a run on Canada's banks.

Ride On,

In Windsor, Ontario today.

And this, in Ottawa, where some brave people, not least veterans, had the sheer brazen temerity to take down a fence which had been put up around the Great War Memorial by the Stasi State in the dead of night, and pray. What utter Nazis.

Country Freedom

It was all go this morning with tractors, trailers, heavy metal and country life. All under the big blue sky of Texas, and what's wrong with that? Nothing at all. But what hard workers! Which made me feel guilty, "Don't worry brother, you're supervizin."

Soon an sho 'nuff the job was done, trailers strapped down, metal hauled off and all was well with the world. You see, what we've been doing is getting a property ready to sell and it's live right now. Good result, and big thanks to ES without whom everything would've been overwhelming, and to neighbors G&D, who work like Trojans.

And so back to the Compound, but not before checking the news, and what news it was. War with Russia "imminent," what? Trudeau tripling down on the working class, Doug Ford in Ontario declaring a "state of emergency" and my pal setting up a stage in a covert location, somewhere in California.

"This might be a long day," he offered, and I agreed. In the meanwhile, looks like there's a party going on in Ottawa. To the beat of the drum.

On The Road

On The Road. Did you know that infamous Beat author Jack Kerouac was a Catholic Christian? So was Andy Warhol too, but that's a different story. Studio 54 aside, I climbed in the rig, got on the road and headed West to say Mass.

The church was quiet and beautiful in the evening light while Christ came down to earth to lift us up to heaven, O Salutaris, and time stood strangely still as it always does when we worship God, not least in the Sacrament of the Altar. Then all too soon, "The Mass has ended, go in peace to love and serve the Lord." Ite Missa Est

Back in the car park the sun was setting over Texas, no small thing, and I sent the record of it to an old friend who finds himself in LA doing something with pop music. "Look!" I whatsapped, "Sunset. Hope your musicians are behaving themselves."

Apparently they were, "Big empty production stage. Phase 1 rehearsals. Secret location. All chilled here. Easy. STAY FROSTY." Always. Then back on the road to the Compound with the sun filling the rear-view with its golden radiance. I never tire of the vision and thank God for it, seriously, and therein lies a word to the wise.

Try and make a habit, a discipline of thanking God for the beyond reckoning good that he's given us. Perhaps it's easier to see in the countryside, where creation's comparatively less marred by wickedness than in, say, the DFW metrosprawl. But wherever you are the rule applies, and when followed covers a multitude of sins.

Here Endeth The Lesson,

LSP
