Mia and Juliet knocked it out of the park and made the best music review ever, of Blue Oyster Cult's classic if haunting hit, Don't Fear The Reaper. They love this song, rightfully. Here, check it out:
A few takeaways: "Soothing... the music was astounding... the guitar? Beautiful... the tempo changed... wolf in sheep's clothing... once the wolf gets among the sheeps... shows his true colors... I love it... a siren... versatile... ohhhh!... it sounded so beautiful! I loved it so much, it made my night... the music was astounding... perfect."
Yes, perfect. Mia and Juliet, you are always welcome here at the Compound and the DLC Mess, unlike the repellent Sting or Madonna, but in the meanwhile, thanks PA for the tip and as always...

Well it's come to this. Democrat operatives dressing up like Tiki Torch Frat Boys, aka Nazis, in a desperate attempt to win the Virginia governorship by pretending to support Glenn Youngkin.
Smooth move, kids, as in, "Look at us Frat Tiki Nazis, we aloha heil Fuhrer Youngkin!" was their Trader Vic's pathetic message of patheticness. Dam, lookit that. Pan to stunned Virginian populace, Tiki Nazis! Gasp, shock, horror, choke on soul food and tofu. Better vote Democrat.
Dear God. Ktyrie. Apart from the sheer, brazen, literal pathetic incompetence of it all, if the Tiki Reich was such a threat, why have to invent it? And then there's the infamous black Klansman. Really? Boys, sorry, persyyns, you have to up your game.

Welcome to the new America, Biden's America, the home of the most popular president ever in the history of Delaware. Do you remember Orange Man Bad, the heinous Russian spy? Of course you do, now he's replaced by someone truly popular, a Peoples' President, our beloved leader. And so we rejoice in song, here it is:
Innit for the long haul, right?
Cheers,

Dogs are barking ferociously here, it's a right ruckus.
They celebrate the People's Currency
Which ran hard today. Good pup.
Where will it end, $28, $69, $420? Hey, I'd settle for a buck and call it a good game well played. But in the meanwhile we hold, diamond hands, in for the long haul. That in mind, let's see everyone's favorite internet magic meme token explode in value as trad fiat implodes in catastrophic Gotterdamerung.
Now there's a warning for us all.
Do only good every day,

"So, did you ever even join the Army," asked my old friend on the tube, you would call it "subway." I replied, "Yes, I did," which nonplussed him, "The British Army." He paused, "Nice, I joined the IDF," which is what he did, "Discipline must've been strict, eh?" Well it was, not that I was much of a soldier. My friend, on the other hand, was.
He'd gone to a prestigious boarding school in London only to get bullied for being a Jew. So, he figured, let's x outta this and go to Israel. What's better, being bullied by entitled idiots or wielding an M16? He chose the latter route.
We met up in Dallas some 20 years later for a delicious grill out. "Tell me," I asked, "How'd it go, your time in the tanks?" He thought for a moment, over a perfectly grilled steak, "We were running Centurions, no kidding, and got ambushed in the Lebanon. Our Lieutenant froze, so I took over, training kicked in and we won. No kidding, Centurions."
Result. I met the driver(?) of his tank at a Kibbutz in the '80s. His hair was grey and he wore a body bandage. Thing is, when their tank blew up somewhere near Beirut, fella went back to retrieve individual weapons, and suffered. Point of this?
Respect to my pal, who lives in Jakarta or somewhere like that. Respect too to all who put their lives on the line. It is, I believe, a line worth holding. Am I wrong? Your call,

Unlike the current Marxist, our last Pope was clear in his exposition of the Faith. Here he is, on loving God, the first and great commandment:
In the gradual unfolding of this encounter, it is clearly revealed that love is not merely a sentiment. Sentiments come and go. A sentiment can be a marvelous first spark, but it is not the fullness of love. Earlier we spoke of the process of purification and maturation by which eros comes fully into its own, becomes love in the full meaning of the word. It is characteristic of mature love that it calls into play all man’s potentialities; it engages the whole man, so to speak. Contact with the visible manifestations of God’s love can awaken within us a feeling of joy born of the experience of being loved. But this encounter also engages our will and our intellect. Acknowledgment of the living God is one path towards love, and the “yes” of our will to his will unites our intellect, will and sentiments in the all- embracing act of love. But this process is always open-ended; love is never “finished” and complete; throughout life, it changes and matures, and thus remains faithful to itself. Idem velle atque idem nolle — to want the same thing, and to reject the same thing—was recognized by antiquity as the authentic content of love: the one becomes similar to the other, and this leads to a community of will and thought. The love-story between God and man consists in the very fact that this communion of will increases in a communion of thought and sentiment, and thus our will and God’s will increasingly coincide: God’s will is no longer for me an alien will, something imposed on me from without by the commandments, but it is now my own will, based on the realization that God is in fact more deeply present to me than I am to myself. Then self- abandonment to God increases and God becomes our joy (cf. Ps 73 [72]:23-28).
Love of neighbour is thus shown to be possible in the way proclaimed by the Bible, by Jesus. It consists in the very fact that, in God and with God, I love even the person whom I do not like or even know. This can only take place on the basis of an intimate encounter with God, an encounter which has become a communion of will, even affecting my feelings. Then I learn to look on this other person not simply with my eyes and my feelings, but from the perspective of Jesus Christ. His friend is my friend. Going beyond exterior appearances, I perceive in others an interior desire for a sign of love, of concern. This I can offer them not only through the organizations intended for such purposes, accepting it perhaps as a political necessity. Seeing with the eyes of Christ, I can give to others much more than their outward necessities; I can give them the look of love which they crave.
I find this beautiful, you may not, no rule. Except there is, the love of God, without which we are nothing.
Your Old Pal,
LSP
You may have noticed the near complete silence or complicity of the Church in its various manifestations to the atheist state, but there are exceptions. Fr. Floriano Pellegrini blessed thousands of Trieste workers protesting Italy's vaxport mandate. Via Church Militant:
Thousands of protestors in the port of Trieste — the epicenter of current vaccine protests — cheered Fr. Floriano Pellegrini as he addressed striking dockworkers in the town square last Tuesday and led them in the recitation of the Lord's Prayer.
The outspoken 65-year-old cleric from the northern Italian diocese of Belluno-Feltre, who said his bad knees do not allow him to kneel, climaxed his oration by asking the crowd to kneel and himself kneeling as he blessed the crowds to rounds of thunderous applause.
"I get down on my knees before God and God alone," Pellegrini said, pausing his blessing in the name of "almighty God," wagging his finger and reminding demonstrators that "only God is almighty, not [Prime Minister] Draghi [and] not [President] Mattarella."
In an interview (see below) with Church Militant, Pellegrini blasted Pope Francis for committing "a great sin and a terrible abuse of his papal authority" by pushing the abortion-tainted jab.
"God is not happy with Cdl. Mario Bergoglio, whom I also acknowledge as the pope, and with his support for the New World Order. And, of course, He is not happy with the bishops, including cardinals, and priests who support him," Pellegrini lamented.
You can and should read the whole thing here. And note, "This is the first time in recent Italian history that the people protest by holding the Rosary." Powerful medicine, and you'll recall it defeated the Sea Jihad at Lepanto, it'll do the same here.
Stand steady and stand fast Trieste.

You see, readers, there's High Mass and there's Low Mass. The High can be very high indeed, and the Low can scrape the depths.
It's a thing. The Western world had a liturgy, a rite, a way of worshiping God which stood for at least 1000 years, maybe more. This was disrupted at the end of the Middle Ages, "smash it up" shouted the reformers and so they did.
Fast forward to today. We've had, what, 50 years of liturgical reform in which the "experts" dismantled, defaced and deformed the worship of the Western Church. And all in the name of making it more popular. But guess what, nobody came, and who can blame them.
It's a bit like wymmyn priest figures in the Anglican church, "If you don't ordain wymmyn no one will go to your churches!" shrieked the deformers and lo and behold, no one has even though the deformers did it anyway.
Here endeth the Lesson,

Russian strongman and former KGB Colonel Vladimir Putin hits this one out of the ballpark, quietly slamming the West as little more than captured by insane Bolshevik radicals, the same crew of possessed thieves which tortured his country from 1917 to beyond. Here's a snapshot of his Valdai speech, worth the length, imo:
The advocates of so-called ‘social progress’ believe they are introducing humanity to some kind of a new and better consciousness. Godspeed, hoist the flags as we say, go right ahead. The only thing that I want to say now is that their prescriptions are not new at all. It may come as a surprise to some people, but Russia has been there already. After the 1917 revolution, the Bolsheviks, relying on the dogmas of Marx and Engels, also said that they would change existing ways and customs and not just political and economic ones, but the very notion of human morality and the foundations of a healthy society. The destruction of age-old values, religion and relations between people, up to and including the total rejection of family (we had that, too), encouragement to inform on loved ones – all this was proclaimed progress and, by the way, was widely supported around the world back then and was quite fashionable, same as today. By the way, the Bolsheviks were absolutely intolerant of opinions other than theirs.
This, I believe, should call to mind some of what we are witnessing now. Looking at what is happening in a number of Western countries, we are amazed to see the domestic practices, which we, fortunately, have left, I hope, in the distant past. The fight for equality and against discrimination has turned into aggressive dogmatism bordering on absurdity, when the works of the great authors of the past – such as Shakespeare – are no longer taught at schools or universities, because their ideas are believed to be backward. The classics are declared backward and ignorant of the importance of gender or race. In Hollywood memos are distributed about proper storytelling and how many characters of what colour or gender should be in a movie. This is even worse than the agitprop department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
He goes on, as if a New Constantine:
In a number of Western countries, the debate over men’s and women’s rights has turned into a perfect phantasmagoria. Look, beware of going where the Bolsheviks once planned to go – not only communalising chickens, but also communalising women. One more step and you will be there.
Zealots of these new approaches even go so far as to want to abolish these concepts altogether. Anyone who dares mention that men and women actually exist, which is a biological fact, risk being ostracised. “Parent number one” and “parent number two,” “'birthing parent” instead of “mother,” and “human milk” replacing “breastmilk” because it might upset the people who are unsure about their own gender. I repeat, this is nothing new; in the 1920s, the so-called Soviet Kulturtraegers also invented some newspeak believing they were creating a new consciousness and changing values that way. And, as I have already said, they made such a mess it still makes one shudder at times.
Not to mention some truly monstrous things when children are taught from an early age that a boy can easily become a girl and vice versa. That is, the teachers actually impose on them a choice we all supposedly have. They do so while shutting the parents out of the process and forcing the child to make decisions that can upend their entire life. They do not even bother to consult with child psychologists – is a child at this age even capable of making a decision of this kind? Calling a spade a spade, this verges on a crime against humanity, and it is being done in the name and under the banner of progress.
I repeat, this is nothing new. Right in the X-Ring, Mr. Putin, and again, "the monstrous things when children are taught from an early age that a boy can easily become a girl and vice versa."
Is there any other world leader who's standing up to Bolshevik tyranny, cultural or whatever, however sponsored, than Putin? The same Putin who is, curiously, a Mass going catholic Christian.
How ironic it'd be if the former SovBloc and Islam converted to become the twin drivers of a new evangelism. It'd be... divine logic.

Have you heard of the Anti Defamation League, the ADL? Sure you have, it was set up in 1913 to protect Jews from discrimination, prescient. So what a good thing it's still going strong and continuing to guide our great society in the ways of justice, tolerance and truth. That's why it's educating us, the serfs, to cut out Halloween racism and, appalled drum roll, "gender norms."
More precisely, “Halloween is a week away and you and your family might be brainstorming costume ideas,” the ADL tweeted on Sunday. “Check out our resource for reminders about how and why to avoid cultural appropriation, cultural stereotypes, and costumes that perpetuate gender norms.”
Check out our resource? I think not, but Gender norms; Reflect for a moment on the sheer, oppressive evil of boys wearing boy costumes and girls likewise. Wow. What violent, Nazi, racism. As if your biology should have anything to do with your gender. Such utter, regressive bigotry.
Just say no. And keep saying it all the way to the polls, which may or may not mean anything at this point. After that? One step beyond, my friends.

What is it with Bob Weir's shorts? I texted a musical friend to find out. "Hey fella, you know I'm a big fan of the Dead but what's with BOB WEIR'S SHORTS? Here, look at this."
Let's hope he sticks to it.

While recent attention has been focused on Dr. Anthony Fauci's National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding the genetic manipulation of bat coronaviruses in the same town as the bat coronavirus pandemic emerged, a bipartisan group of lawmakers have demanded answers over 'sick' experiments on drugged puppies, according to The Hill.
"Our investigators show that Fauci’s NIH division shipped part of a $375,800 grant to a lab in Tunisia to drug beagles and lock their heads in mesh cages filled with hungry sand flies so that the insects could eat them alive," writes nonprofit organization the White Coat Waste Project. "They also locked beagles alone in cages in the desert overnight for nine consecutive nights to use them as bait to attract infectious sand flies."
Wow. These people are sick.

You know what it's like, some days are sluggish, unproductive, but not this day. Say Morning Prayer, read the news, then drive to Whitney for breakfast with one of the flock. What a good guy, he has a ranch outside of Valley Mills and scorns our Globalist, Illuminati, MillSoc Overlords as much as the best of us. Fun to shoot with, too.
So that was good and before you could whistle Dixie there I was, back at the Compound getting stuck in to the next evolution. Viz. Get a magazine ready to send to a printer in the DFW metrosprawl.
"Text Frame Options," "Place," "Draw Text Frame," choose compelling graphic to illustrate articles you hopefully don't have to rewrite, and all of that. Seriously, sometimes you have to wonder, is English your first language.
Well it pretty much was in this instance and I got the job done, result. Sharp looking book, off to press you go. Next step? Drive out to the lake church and say Mass, always uplifting, and stop by a country supermarket on the way for provisions. Lo and behold, they had a Threeper at pre-Bidenflation prices. Wow. Buy it and thank God for his great goodness.
Now, back in this congenial if asset-stripped Texan farming community, it's time to celebrate the several victories of the day.
Cheers,
