Putin Nails It - New Constantine

 

Russian strongman and former KGB Colonel Vladimir Putin hits this one out of the ballpark, quietly slamming the West as little more than captured by insane Bolshevik radicals, the same crew of possessed thieves which tortured his country from 1917 to beyond. Here's a snapshot of his Valdai speech, worth the length, imo:

The advocates of so-called ‘social progress’ believe they are introducing humanity to some kind of a new and better consciousness. Godspeed, hoist the flags as we say, go right ahead. The only thing that I want to say now is that their prescriptions are not new at all. It may come as a surprise to some people, but Russia has been there already. After the 1917 revolution, the Bolsheviks, relying on the dogmas of Marx and Engels, also said that they would change existing ways and customs and not just political and economic ones, but the very notion of human morality and the foundations of a healthy society. The destruction of age-old values, religion and relations between people, up to and including the total rejection of family (we had that, too), encouragement to inform on loved ones – all this was proclaimed progress and, by the way, was widely supported around the world back then and was quite fashionable, same as today. By the way, the Bolsheviks were absolutely intolerant of opinions other than theirs.

This, I believe, should call to mind some of what we are witnessing now. Looking at what is happening in a number of Western countries, we are amazed to see the domestic practices, which we, fortunately, have left, I hope, in the distant past. The fight for equality and against discrimination has turned into aggressive dogmatism bordering on absurdity, when the works of the great authors of the past – such as Shakespeare – are no longer taught at schools or universities, because their ideas are believed to be backward. The classics are declared backward and ignorant of the importance of gender or race. In Hollywood memos are distributed about proper storytelling and how many characters of what colour or gender should be in a movie. This is even worse than the agitprop department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

In a number of Western countries, the debate over men’s and women’s rights has turned into a perfect phantasmagoria. Look, beware of going where the Bolsheviks once planned to go – not only communalising chickens, but also communalising women. One more step and you will be there.

Zealots of these new approaches even go so far as to want to abolish these concepts altogether. Not to mention some truly monstrous things when children are taught from an early age that a boy can easily become a girl and vice versa. That is, the teachers actually impose on them a choice we all supposedly have. They do so while shutting the parents out of the process and forcing the child to make decisions that can upend their entire life. They do not even bother to consult with child psychologists – is a child at this age even capable of making a decision of this kind? Calling a spade a spade, this verges on a crime against humanity, and it is being done in the name and under the banner of progress.

 

I repeat, this is nothing new. Right in the X-Ring, Mr. Putin, and again, "the monstrous things when children are taught from an early age that a boy can easily become a girl and vice versa."

Is there any other world leader who's standing up to Bolshevik tyranny, cultural or whatever, however sponsored, than Putin? The same Putin who is, curiously, a Mass going catholic Christian. 

How ironic it'd be if the former SovBloc and Islam converted to become the twin drivers of a new evangelism. It'd be... divine logic.

There's a lot of talk right now about secession and civil war, which is understandable given two utterly opposed ideologies grinding it out in our polity. Democrats and their Republican friends in what amounts to a globalist, deep state, neocon Uniparty, hiding under a smokescreen of LGBTQ+1 agitprop and... people who dare to believe in the Republic of the Founding Fathers.

Utterly opposed. Note how the Uniparty slams the foundation of our country as 1619 racist oppressive while they take money from their totalitarian ChiCom overlords. Hypocrisy ain't in it. But that aside, for a civil war to occur there have to be two sides capable of offensive and defensive military action. Obviously.

Now, ask yourself how long 1000 or 10,000 radical Anarcho-Marxists or for that matter, Proud Boys, would last in a gunfight with what? a platoon of infantry with overwatch? You know, I know. About maybe less than a minute, give or take.

Lights Out - Minnesota

Imagine the scene. There you are, living in the suburbs of middle America in December 2020; it’s cold outside and you think back on the year that’s been. Who’d have thought it? 

A potentially deadly virus, lockdowns, riots, looting, a contested election, job uncertainty and on. What a dark landscape, so you decide to lift everyone’s spirits by putting up Christmas lights on the house. 

Well done. “Merry Christmas!” you say cheerfully to yourself while decorating a festive tree; things are starting to look up at last, about time. Then boom, the Postperson arrives with a letter blasting your Christmas lights for intolerance, division, and “systemic biases.”

Wow, systemic bias, that's pretty bad. So hurry up, you suburban criminal, and report yourself for wrongthink. That's obviously before you work through struggle sessions in the nearest Maoist Minnesotan reeducation center. 

Satire? If only. Four Minnesota households in a suburb of Minneapolis, St. Anthony, received an anonymous Advent letter this year, excoriating them for decorating their houses for the holiday season. Here it is:

 

I couldn’t help but notice your Christmas lights display. During these unprecedented times we have all experienced challenges which casual words just don’t describe what we’re feeling. The idea of twinkling, colorful lights are a reminder of divisions that continue to run through our society, a reminder of systemic biases against our neighbors who don’t celebrate Christmas or who can’t afford to put up lights of their own.

We must do the work of educating ourselves about the harmful impact an outward-facing display like yours can have. I challenge you to respect the dignity of all people while striving to learn from differences, ideas, and opinions of our neighbors. We must come together collectively and challenge these institutional inequities; St. Anthony is a community of welcoming of all people (sic) and we must demand better for ourselves.

 

Demand better? Yes indeed. Let's start with calling an end to leftist gibberish and tyranny masquerading as tolerance and "welcome." A false welcome to everyone except those who disagree with you. This isn't about toleration, it's about forcing your will on other people, in this instance on those who choose to display the outward signs of Christmas, of celebrating Christ's birth, on their houses.

How dare you, Nazi! As if for a second that a garish if cheerful twinkling light was anything other than a sign of good cheer. But of course our latter-day puritans hate the sign because they hate its significance. 

It proclaims, consciously or not, that God became a man and lay, as a child, under a star in Bethlehem. And with that birth salvation came into the world. 

This is abhorrent to the enemies of Christmas and, if they can, they'll ban the feast of the Incarnation from the public square, like their spiritual ancestors, the Bolsheviks of 1917 or the Puritans of the seventeenth century. But you know what?

The gates of Hell shall not prevail against the angelic host, which cries out, Gloria in Excelsis Deo, glory to God in the highest at the birth of the Christ Child. Nothing, much less mean-spirited, narcissist, Midwestern killjoys and their rich Ivy Satanic League (sorry,  add Berkley) friends can stop that.

Shakedown Street - State of the Republic

 

What are we, a constitutional republic, or something else, a banana republic nation run by a gang of self-serving, millionaire thieves? Like hey, go ahead and vote and then we'll shake you down.

Have you noticed how hundreds of thousands of votes miraculously appeared for the worst presidential candidate in living memory after polling stations closed? Forgive the rhetoric, of course you have. Wow, what a miracle. Biden, who couldn't draw crowds of more than 12 people suddenly becomes the most popular candidate in history. 

We knew it would happen, the Bolsheviks and their corporate paymasters even advertised it, but when you behold the shakedown unfolding in real time it's like a gut punch. 

Why did we send kids out to Iraq and everywhere else to supposedly fight for freedom and democracy only to have a fraudulent, thieving, spit in your face crew of crooks steal our vote?

My eldest called in from Korea last night and asked, "These people are writing my checks, it makes me feel sick." I told him, "You're serving the real America," and, "Salute the flag, not the man behind it." He got that. As LL puts it, don't desert your shield.

Sermon Time

It went well at the Missions this morning, in a country church kind of way. We heard Christ in the Gospel tell the world that he came to bring a sword instead of peace. And so he does, the world is confronted by Jesus, divine reality who claims to be the way, the truth and the life. To which side of this do you fall?

An aggressive, vocal minority in this country rejects it all out of hand. They hate Christ, Christianity and the culture of the Faith, the culture of the West. That's why they're intent on destroying its monuments and symbols.

Make no mistake, this is a prelude to destroying the Church herself. The same creed, Marxism, with its utter hatred of Christianity isn't content with destroying statues of Columbus, Washington and Lincoln. No, it wants to overthrow, root up and destroy the foundation itself. That'd be Christianity.

Go on, let's see you.

I tell you this. The moment one of those Red fools gets on the porch is the moment they'll wish they hadn't.

A call, urgent, "This is crazy. They're buying all the toilet paper, you would say 'loo roll' or 'Andrex' but it's the same, and the shelves are empty. Send money. They're goddam tasering people."

Maybe we should've shut the border with Communist, Godless China long ago. Maybe we should never have opened that border in the first place, and allowed the Bolsheviks to stew and ferment in their own version of hell masquerading as heaven. But no, smart people had to make money.

Haven't we devolved. And look how the radical Left has shifted their gaze from the working class, which they've sold out to China and to, yes, trannies.

Check out these satans grinning it up as they sign their baby killing law into effect in New York. Just one of some 13 other states getting ready to advocate murdering a baby at the point of birth.

All in the name of what? Freedom, of course, the freedom to be absolute No Gods No Masters in control of yourself and your baby, which you've just murdered. Well you can't get much freer than that; state sanction to kill your kids and throw off the tyranny of biology. 

Go on then, break the chains of oppression, wimmyn, but what will you say when the child you've killed looks you in the face in the timeless instant of eternity? Bad second of forever, but take heart.

Remember the repentant thief and throw the first stone, then go away and sin no more.

Sorry Commies, You Lose

Yesterday was Labor Day and the fish were staging a "go-slow" in solidarity with their Marxist comrades, the Dove. But one battle lost doesn't mean a war over, far from it.

Today we turned the tables on aquatic bolshevism, luring the scaly soviets out of their revolutionary committees with live worms, spinners and topwater lures.

That's right, a Heddon Tiny Torpedo which the voracious little bass couldn't resist. It'd been a while since I used one and they demand a bit of patience, the temptation being to try and set the hook as soon as the fish strikes. Big mistake, you'll snatch the lure out of the piscine communist's mouth.

Instead, let the aggressive revolutionary surge onto the lure, take it down into the proletarian depths, apply pressure and then reel the little commie in. Easy to say, hard to do because it goes against the quick and sudden hookset mentality that goes with a subsurface strike.

Still, I got in the way of it, casting off, letting the lure rest and then twitching it in to various rhythms. Speaking of which, fishing wisdom recommends you do your best to keep the lure as stationary as possible as you twitch it about. This apparently enrages the predatory nihilist bass who then launch themselves at their bourgeois oppressor.

Well it takes a lot of patience, so I emulated the method while changing it up with more aggressive retrieves and caught a lot of fish. They weren't huge but a fish is a fish and even a small bass striking topwater's a lot of fun. Great result.

Market-driven capitalism restored and the Red Menace put back in its box, I blessed a herd of horses and a barn. Then headed back to the Compound.

Counter Revolution

The answer, of course, is the Church. As Belloc famously wrote, Europe is the Faith. The Faith, catholic Christianity, is at the foundation and heart of Western culture, it defines us and provides the necessary value to fight back against the anti-value of the destroyers.

Patriarch Kirill v. Godless Elites

The Faith is alive and well in Russia, where the Orthodox Church has been building 1000 churches a year, every year, for the last decade or more. Part of this is because of Russian Orthodoxy's leader, Patriarch Kirill.

In the West, on the other hand, a different group is alive and well. That would be the God-hating descendants of the SovCom revolutionaries, who crucified monks, nuns and priests outside their churches and monasteries in 1917 and beyond. If they could, their modern friends would ban Christianity altogether; as it is, they're doing their best to make its expression illegal in the public square.

Kirill draws attention to this in his short video and reminds his listeners of the power of prayer. I find it moving.
