We're taking a snow day here at the Compound, which means, so far, walking a happy dog across the icy tundra of the perimeter, driving down ice covered roads to a near empty Walmart, buying a couple of frozen pizzas, cleaning guns and browsing through Signalgate on social media.
You've all heard of it of course, how naive Bolshevik revolutionaries banded together on Signal to disrupt and harass federal law enforcement in Minneapolis, only to get infiltrated and exposed. Apparently the list of Cultural Marxist signalers includes journalists, politicians, foreign actors and more, far more. And, to give the commies credit, they seem to have set up quite the network. Eric Schwalm comments:
As a former Special Forces Warrant Officer with multiple rotations running counterinsurgency ops—both hunting insurgents and trying to separate them from sympathetic populations—I’ve seen organized resistance up close. From Anbar to Helmand, the pattern is familiar: spotters, cutouts, dead drops (or modern equivalents), disciplined comms, role specialization, and a willingness to absorb casualties while bleeding the stronger force slowly.
What’s unfolding in Minneapolis right now isn’t “protest.” It’s low-level insurgency infrastructure, built by people who’ve clearly studied the playbook.
Signal groups at 1,000-member cap per zone. Dedicated roles: mobile chasers, plate checkers logging vehicle data into shared databases, 24/7 dispatch nodes vectoring assets, SALUTE-style reporting (Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time, Equipment) on suspected federal vehicles. Daily chat rotations and timed deletions to frustrate forensic recovery. Vetting processes for new joiners. Mutual aid from sympathetic locals (teachers providing cover, possible PD tip-offs on license plate lookups). Home-base coordination points. Rapid escalation from observation to physical obstruction—or worse.
This isn’t spontaneous outrage. This is C2 (command and control) with redundancy, OPSEC hygiene, and task organization that would make a SF team sergeant nod in recognition. Replace “ICE agents” with “occupying coalition forces” and the structure maps almost 1:1 to early-stage urban cells we hunted in the mid-2000s.
The most sobering part? It’s domestic. Funded, trained (somewhere), and directed by people who live in the same country they’re trying to paralyze law enforcement in. When your own citizens build and operate this level of parallel intelligence and rapid-response network against federal officers—complete with doxxing, vehicle pursuits, and harassment that’s already turned lethal—you’re no longer dealing with civil disobedience. You’re facing a distributed resistance that’s learned the lessons of successful insurgencies: stay below the kinetic threshold most of the time, force over-reaction when possible, maintain popular support through narrative, and never present a single center of gravity.
I spent years training partner forces to dismantle exactly this kind of apparatus. Now pieces of it are standing up in American cities, enabled by elements of local government and civil society. That should keep every thinking American awake at night.
Not because I want escalation. But because history shows these things don’t de-escalate on their own once the infrastructure exists and the cadre believe they’re winning the information war.
We either recognize what we’re actually looking at—or we pretend it’s still just “activism” until the structures harden and spread.
Your call, America. But from where I sit, this isn’t January 2026 politics anymore.
It’s phase one of something we’ve spent decades trying to keep off our own soil.
Right on, Chief. Above in mind, do you think we're just at the deranged larping stage of an insurrection or something more substantial?
For what little it's worth, I call next level bet-the-welfare-check larping with a big dose of FO heading to the FA. As in, Rainbow Marxists agitating for Minneapolis to become the next Fallujah. They really don't want that, or even something remotely approaching it. But that's just me on a snow day, do feel free to disagree.

How to counter this is beyond my knowledge/skill set. Hopefully, they people like him do. Identify and expose these people? If any hold professional licenses, identify them to whoever issues the licenses as a start? Employers, alumni associations, other social nodes? Make them sweat a bit protecting their personal rice bowls.
He's on the money with those statements. The way to counter is getting inside their OODA loop, getting names/descriptions/addresses and 'addressing' them at their locations.
I remember (35 years ago) the acronym BAMCIS - Begin planning, Arrange Recon, Make Recon, Issue the order, then "Supervise". We have done all the recon we need (or can stomach). Orders please. We "recon" (watch) way too much.
Right on! Oregon used to be the coolest place to live. Now it's a shit show, especially in the valley, from Portland to Eugene. Glad I enjoyed it when I was young.
An addition. Make sure these individuals will be flagged if they need to pass a background check in the future.
It's an insurrection.
That calls for a military response.
Powerline this morning:
"In 1861 the seceding states could not abide the election of Abraham Lincoln. Although he scrupulously vowed to uphold the Constitution, they feared his view of slavery. Whatever high-minded words they otherwise had to say, their resistance to Lincoln was all about slavery.
Confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens made that much clear in his famous Cornerstone Speech. As he explained in March 1861, “This was the immediate cause of the late rupture and present revolution.” Would that our current cast of characters were anywhere near so candid.
In 2026 the they cannot abide the administration of Donald Trump. They oppose his execution of immigration law. They support illegal immigration. However they cloak it for public consumption, that is the cause for which they fight. Illegal immigration is the cornerstone of their vision of the United States."
It's actually very easy, if you have all the sigint and numbers attached to identified people. Sweep them all up, lock them away in fed jail. Charge them with Insurrection and whatever else you can, including felony murder for the two marxists who got whacked by ICE.
Make them pay. Seize all assets associated with their participation. Oh, your bank account was used to funnel money from one to another? Seize it. Oh, your house was used to store equipment and used as a meeting place? Seize it. Car? Seize it. Life? Seize that, too.
And do it legally, unlike the Jan6 bullscat.
With the intel out there, with ICE's recordings of faces and license tags, it's not hard. And it's a tactic cops have been using for at least the advent of fast-focusing still cameras (you literally load a new roll of film, hold the camera up and take pictures of the crowd. Though it's much easier to do with video cameras and now the digital video cameras.)
Treat them like the criminals they are. Denying civil rights, interference with federal law enforcement, aid and abetting, insurrection.
Or, and this a fun one, especially considering the temps in Minneapolis right now, HOSE THEM DOWN WITH FIREHOSES, loaded with dye. Arrest everyone who's 'colored.' Or not, let them die from exposure as they chose to go out in that weather when sensible people are inside (you know, working...)
In the absence of orders, find something communist and kill it.
I forgot the "C" which is "Complete the Plan" - hey it was the 80's
I agree with Beans.
I think they've achieved that, NFO. Seriously good irregular cyber work in play.
They're on it, Seamus, big time.
Dear Rick, it's a bit like the Buddha. If you meet it in the middle of the road, kill it.
Never been, Sar, though I imagine something beautiful wrecked by hippies and Marxists.
I think, WSF, that that's in hand. Good call.
I agree, Ed, and more than that. They stand for killing babies in the womb, homosexual mockery of marriage, transsexual parody of men and women, endless war, denigration of our culture, history and faith, and on. In short, they're waging war against God and his creation, not least Man. We have to fight them.
Seamus, 80s for me too! Hey, back then I could run forever with a GPMG and a metal hat. These days... well, not so much :)
