Dark Star

Wow, what a movie. And here's the song:

Stand back in awe, but what about us, floating freely in the space of post WWI deconstruction? Dark Star crashing or can we turn this ship around?

Cheers,

I saw the post title in my feed, and thought....naaaw...NOBODY'S seen that movie! Fun little romp, and it was John Carpenter's first film.

Gatsby, Steele & Gnash had a different song with the same title that I was once quite fond of. Shame their politics are so Electrolux.

I understand Dark Star started as a college film project of John Carpenter's and Dan O'Bannon. O'Bannon also portrayed Sgt. Pinback and voiced the bombs. The alien feeding sequence was a real hoot.

In space nobody can hear you scream.

Those mountebanks! But hey, Wild, I used to like it too. Prefer the Dead thing now, on occasion. BUt what a neat movie, eh?

They did well, Jim. The alien was awesome, imo.

Is "Take him to the airlock" going to replace "Take him to the train station"??
