Cult & Culture

No Cult, No Culture, runs the slogan, along with Vatican Two Empty The Pew. The cult in question being the liturgy and worship of the Western Church which was eviscerated by liturgical geniuses in the late '60s, early '70s. And go figure, as the worship of the Church was destroyed so too was the culture from which it sprang.

Here in Texas and around the world we're reversing this apostate trend. No guitar playing nuns, no priestesses, no liturgical dance, just the Altar against the East wall and the Mass done right. I tell you, it appeals to young people. And who can blame them?

Wait - no lesbian liturgical dance? No ample women wearing comfortable shoes bouncing evidence of a high-carb diet as they prance and pirouette? Where is the comic relief?

Many young people seem to crave something authentic. They find little in their daily lives.

The Return of the Gods by Jonathan Cahn explains a lot.

Nail on the head LSP. We see it every week at our local TLM's- young families, lots of kids ("breeding like rabbits" as one old crank opined), all in search of beauty. From the cave paintings in France to the Vetus Ordo today, man seeks and desires beauty. The V2 crowd gave us monochrome gymnasiums for churches, fruitcake cowboy tunes for music and dumbed down a Bible translation with happy-clappy prayers. Dish after dish of jello when we want a rare T-bone.

Speaking of which, I hope there will be suitable fare in celebration of the young man's accomplishment. Perhaps another episode of 'Cooking with LSP' in the near future?

The Death of the Mysteries, as I call it, put the Church on life support.

The continued scandals and stupidity didn't and aren't helping.

Mother Church should have stood hard and fast about the Old Ways and in coming down hard on the malfeasance.

I miss the church I grew up in. I don't recognize the church that exists now. That's sad.

And as to what LL said, liturgical dance? Just... no. No way. No way no how.

And stop all the collections for socialist/communist/one world projects.

And stop funding the invasion of the USA via the southern border.

I know, LL, it's a shocker. Not one single lesbian liturgical dancer, no, not one. The kids love it.

Right on, WSF, and who can blame them.

I feel I should read that, Wild.

Right on, DOS, and try as they might the apostates can't keep it down.

And yes, some kind of culinary fanfare's in order. I'm thinking... steak. Speaking of *Cooking With, I was going to post a "homemade tortillas" episode but I've held fire until a slightly better iteration.

You see, I'm fed up with buying all this factory made bread, not that I do much, but I'd rather make my own.

I 100% agree, Beans.

I fear they all went mad or worse in the late '60s/'70s and haven't pulled out of the skid to apostasy.

Of course Anglicans can pretty much worship any way they want and the same holds for belief/doctrine, provided you don't go against rainbow orthodoxy. Then they stamp you out, because tolerance. Our diocese is an exception.

See if you can find an Ordinariate parish or something similar.
