Rolling To Civil War?

"Gotta say, LSP, mebbe it's lookin' like Civil War," said a rancher I was riding with back in the days of the Great Rhetor, Barack Stilted Delivery Hussein Obama. He had a point, way back then. Fast forward to today.

Two fundamentally opposed points of view are facing off in America. The one, a rainbow hued neo-pagan expression of the radical liberal project, with total personal autonomy as its end goal, see transsexualism. And the other, God, Guns, Church and Country Life in Texas, and beyond.

The radicals, rightly, see abortion and getting a sex-change as a sacramental, an outward sign of something inward and spiritual. In their case, the promethean or luciferian desire to create themselves in their own image. To be, as the Good Book puts it, "as Gods."

Red State America, however imperfectly, says no. You're not a God and guess what, if you're a man you can't use the woman's restroom. And by the way, a country has borders or it's not a country and don't kill your babies, that's sick and evil.

Now, granted all of the above and more, how can these two states of mind, heart and soul exist in peace? Impossible and we're seeing the clash right now in Congress. But picture this.

45 will doubtless survive the Democrat attack on him and the Constitution, but will nonetheless leave office in 2024. What then. Who knows, perhaps there'll be a Trump Dynasty and Ivanka will become the first woman president, yes please.

Well Done, Aberystwyth

Or the globalist elite deep state will snap right back and resume Federal control. If that happens, expect resistance, real resistance, and here's the thing. If Washington DC bans your guns or tells your kid's school to set up trans bathrooms and Texas says no, what are they going to do, send in the troops?

I tell you this, the Army won't fire, and states will ignore federal laws they don't like, it's happening already. The result? The balkanisatoin of America and hopefully an unbloody civil war. But hey, perhaps we'll all come together under Ivanka.

In the meanwhile, is anyone taking the impeachment farce seriously?

Not saying you are wrong, but how do we define Civil War? Are there different levels, different battlefields?

LSP said...

Good call, WSF. Surely it = a nation divided and at war with itself, thanks to opposing aims, ethos and all the rest.

So for sure there's different levels and battlefields; for example, we're in a kind of cold war now, let's hope it doesn't go hot.

I think, for what it's worth, that we'd sooner balkanize as a nation than take up arms against each other. Hope I'm right in that and perhaps everything'll be ok.

Praise God and pass the ammunition.

Heinlein once described a balkanized America in a novel. He may have nailed this one.

The only ones taking the impeachment thing seriously are the dem politicians and people who watch MSNBC and CNN and not for the laughs.

Is is too late to give California back to Mexico? (Or at least the coastal section.)

I'm for Balkanization; everybody move to blue states if you are blue, and red states if you are red. Or if you don't know, head to the purple states. And once there, embrace or ignore federal laws you love/don't love.

And of course, keep a couple of banana clips of that good ol' fashioned .556 ball ammo handy, you never know...

And the vampire mouthguards, LL!

I like Heinlein now and again, Jim.

Kid, what a farce.

Let's throw in Austin too, Infidel.

I have seen two civil-wars.
I wouldn't recommend it.
War is one of the riders of the apocalypse for a good reason.
And it tends to precede the other three.

Did you see the statement by prof Turly, from Man for all seasons

British law at it's best, the dim rat clowns hopefully take it to heart, indeed where will you be able to stand when the wind blows against you??

Anon, I haven't had that experience, thank God.

What an excellent link, Egyptian!

Fredd, it seems to be happening before our very eyes. And yes, smart people have lots of ammo.

If Trump - please, Hashem - wins in 2020, and especially if we retake the House and hold the Senate... DO NOT be surprised if there are multiple assassination attempts.

As to a partition? I like the idea, but they are MISSIONARIES. Even if such a thing were possible, with the incredible things that would have to be sorted out, they would look across that line and say "We need to get them too". There will be no long-term solution as they infiltrate, hamper, and attempt to subvert us just as they have already done to the current USA.

The .223 solution is coming; it's not IF, it's when. Alas.

I agree, Nitzakhon, though I'd like to think the ballistic solution wasn't inevitable. Well, we'll see and things don't augur wel in Virginia, for example.

And thanks for the link, nice site!

PS. How come so many Jews are socialist/commie? I've never understood that. Is it something to do with a reaction to persecution in old Europe? Just asking.

@LSP:

I pray, twice a day - morning and evening prayers - for America... and for there to be be a way to not have a "ballistic solution" to the current situation. I pray there is one but I, personally, don't see it. Short of our absolute surrender, they'll never stop.

Thanks for the kind words about my efforts; I'm prepared to mutually blogroll each other if you're interested.

As to why so many Jews are on the Left, understand, I used to be one. Daniel Greenfield (Sultan Knish) pointed out some years ago that when the waves of immigrants in the late 1800s and early 1900s hit, the Leftist educators were ready. They wanted to create "good Americans" and to their minds "good Americans" meant Democrats.

Have you heard of Evan Sayet? He wrote two great essays that opened my mind to a lot:

https://www.heritage.org/political-process/report/regurgitating-the-apple-how-modern-liberals-think

https://archives.frontpagemag.com/fpm/why-jews-support-democratic-party-evan-sayet/

I agree with both. I also think there's been a perversion of the idea of "tikkun olam". Literally, TO HEAL THE WORLD, it's meant to discuss making us better Jews, and to be kind. Somehow it's been grabbed by liberal Jews as "We must impose solutions on the rest of the world". Not so.

Here is a quote from an excellent essay:

https://www.melaniephillips.com/black-answer-us-jews-diaspora-blues/

"The community’s secular religion of tikkun olam, or supposedly Jewish social justice, is a fraud.

As Jonathan Neumann puts it in his excellent book To Heal the World?, American Jews have been led to believe that “the purpose of the Jews in the world is to campaign for higher taxes, sexual permissiveness, reduced military spending, illegal immigration, opposition to fracking, the banishment of religion from the public square and every other liberal cause under the sun — all in the name of God”.

So three-quarters of American Jews have contracted a kind of religious auto-immune disease, which has caused them to junk the stuff that will protect their spiritual health while eagerly embracing the stuff that will destroy it."

And more on tikkum olam:

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/261723/tikkun-olam-fetish-steven-plaut

"The idea that it is somehow the religious duty of Jews to "repair mankind" is not only unfounded it is a manifestation of the ignorance of assimilationist Jewish liberals. The simple fact of the matter is that in actual Judaism, it is none of the business of Jews to fix or repair humanity. More generally, in Judaism it is the job of Jews to repair the Jews - a not inconsiderable task - not to repair the world."

---

In other words, the TRUE PRINCIPLES of Judaism have been twisted. But since the actions of this twisted Judaism make those doing it feel good irrespective of the actual damage they do, they will continue to do it.

Sigh.

More anon if you want to continue this.

In the meantime, if you want to know more about my personal evolution, I've got a six part series (here's part 6) on how I moved from Left to Right.

In the meantime, Hashem bless you, and America. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

Thanks for that, N. And a lot to conjure with... but a few things, just by way of reflection:

I'd be more than happy to put your place on the *blogroll, no prob and consider it done. Also, back in the mists of time (1980s) I was at Kibbutz Urim on my honeymoon, gentile guests of the founders of the place. Good people who'd been through a lot, coming out of Europe in the '40s.

Halfway through the night a younger "son" arrived, he was a journalist for Marie Claire, of all things, and he told our little group that when he was asked for ID on his journey he showed the authorities a fake tattoo. He was proud of that.

Imagine the silence around the table as we sipped our drinks. I was 20, they were in their 50s and the "son" in his maybe late 20s. His great uncle had been chief Rabbi of Vienna until the Nazis got him, the rest had fled or survived the KZs.

That "son" hated God, not least me for being an Anglican priest in training, the others didn't.

What does this mean? I'm not sure but think there's a mystery to Israel and its people; we must see how it plays out, doubtless with apocalyptic significance. In the meanwhile, cheers!

During the time I was an atheist - over two decades - I hated the very idea of a deity. As I aged (matured is questionable!) I softened on that.

We Jews (not just specifically Israelis) are an argumentative and stiff-necked people. There's an old saying "One question, two Jews, you'll get three opinions in four minutes."

Tradition can be very useful and can help define a people; it's also very confining. Especially when you're young and want to "break out" the restraining hand of tradition seems cloying.
