Hunt, Church, War

I'm a little jealous of my friend's trout catch but made up for it with some decent shooting - beautiful overcast early evening and enough action to supply a goodish snack for the LSP table; as always, powerful medicine to get out in the field.

Off to the frozen wilds of Wisconsin tomorrow for talks with the OCA (Orthodox Church of America), the Diocese of Fort Worth and ACNA (Anglican Church of North America). The hope here is that some sort of concordat or 'communion statement' will be reached, but more of that later. In the meanwhile...

Why does our government seem set on some sort of 'half mission' in Afghanistan, against the advice of General McChrystal? Seems to me that we should either fight to win, or not at all - an in between effort is surely a tragic waste of lives. Just a thought.

God bless.

That trout looks scrumptious!! I used to love fishing while growing up, well actually crabbing more so.

Obama's indecisiveness is going to cost lives in the battle field. How irresponsible.

It does look tasty!

I know its easy to be an arm chair general but I'd be inclined to take the advice of the commander on the ground.

Now that's some serious soul food LSP! Looks tantalizing and now I find myself wanting fish! I guess that in about two months I could always go ice fishing, or maybe a trip to the local grocer...not the same but second best at times in life has to suffice!

Obama's as decisive as Brown, LSP, i.e. he's not! They are both pig-headed, (and that's an insult to pigs), and refuse to listen to their commanders on the ground - and Brown also has unforgivably underequipped the British troops who are dying completely unneccessarily because of his neglect. This half-hearted warmongering by these useless socialists is entirely unacceptable and the treatment of troops is callous in the extreme!

@Barking Spider's comment is why I love reading old comments -sometimes their subintelligitur texts are a lot more revealing with time

But the thing is, people used to comment on this blog because I'd comment on theirs. Must start doing that again...

Isn't commenting awkward with respect to your profession, implexed by your small town with the obligatory quidnuncs?

OTOH, you are a quisby pastor, and I mean that with endearing respect!

But, I never thought a priest could love guns, politics, and scare a neighbor enough to have the law visit him on account of the hitchcockian combination of the backyard cleaning of a parishioner's gun, and an negligent dog-owning neighbor.

The neighbor's very odd and gives me patriotic poetry to give to GW Bush. We're allies now, me and DWN (Dog war Neighbor), though I don't know "W" yet, sadly.
