Tractor brands. Some cousins have a mixed marriage. He was raised on Case and she on John Deere. Other cousins are considered heretics for running New Holland. My preference is something that runs and doesn't need work.
Tractor brands are somewhat like unto a religion with some, a kind of cargo cult you might say. But WSF's preference is The One True Faith and very much to be desired, in my experience.
In other news, speaking of "shredders," the first anti-bat flu alleged "vaccine" (that's a laugh) was jabbed into an arm in Chicago. How's that working out for ya?
Yep, I was thinking brush hog too. Maybe with chains instead of blades for shredding mesquite. Case/Deere/other is 'almost' as bad as Ford/Chevy/Dodge... LOL
LSP, "didn't Chicago used to be a great city"? If so, that was a really, really long time ago. It was already utterly corrupt long before you or I were born.
Anon My preference and my reality seldom coincide. My Dad loved his 20's era Cat crawler, gas powered with a compression release. Winter mornings I could harness a team, feed the livestock, and have the team unhitched by the time he could get it warm enough to run with compression. It did plow snow handsomely which was good because we often got a four wire winter.
What is it, Parson? Looks like a mine-removal flail. Some kind of mower, and the chains keep debris from being flung out?
ReplyDeleteDoctor, they call it a "shredder"! I know, terrifying.

You should have kept that - that would be been fun after a night at the Hillsboro bar.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice bush hog, mow some pasture with that…just wear headphones.

ReplyDeleteJuliette, I know! But everything has to go. It's just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteMr. WSF, I'm no expert, at all, but I applaud your wisdom.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that, WWW. Interesting. And on point -- didn't Chicago used to be a great city? What have we become.
ReplyDeleteIt's like the fall of Rome.
Paul, that Bush Hog was in pretty good shape.
ReplyDeleteCash? YOURS.
WSF, show me "something that runs and doesn't need work" and I'll buy it yesterday. Ain't no sich animal. But I'm all ears if you have a suggestion...

Dang it, I meant to say the first arm jab was ONE YEAR AGO. Duh.
ReplyDeleteOoopsie!
WSF It's been a lot of years since I've heard my uncles refer to four wire winter. Thanks for the smile.
