I love this. The sound of Crusade and Advent.
Ave Domus Aurea,
LSP
One door down from us is Saint John the Baptist Orthodox Christian Church. Their choir is outstanding.
ReplyDeleteHow this for feeling "safe?" Three Roman priests next door, next the Orthodox church, and directly north within spitting distance is St.Joan of Arc Catholic Church. From my front deck I can gaze across the field to St. Joan's, and from my back deck I can gaze over to the beautiful cemetery behind the Orthodox church.
I'm blessed...
At this point, LSP, I'm just putting one foot in front of the other (a metaphor only) to try and make it to and through Christmas. But the choral representation is spectacular. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteInteresting chant. Mesmerizing to say the least.
ReplyDeleteLovely Padre!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous Adrienne.
Eh, that was all Greek to me.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, be careful around all those clergy!
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd like it, LL. Such powerful music.
ReplyDeleteI was really stuck, NFO. It's not that old (19thC?) but the sound/tones are ancient and, to me, very moving.
ReplyDeleteThat in mind, we clearly need Constantinople back.
It powered out at me from the internet, DOS!
ReplyDeleteMy Greek's rubbish, WWW. Luckily there's a translation...
ReplyDeleteI'm curious, is there a title for that translated in to English? I would like to purchase it, but don't know what to look for. Thanks for the music and have a Merry Christmas!
