Once More Over The Rainbow

The savage woman beating, enslaving, Biden trolling Taliban were two months off from taking Afghanistan in what has to be the most humiliating, catastrophic, blunderous, incompetent American defeat since Vietnam, and our guys were pumping out this, in June. Here it is, from Understanding Men and Masculinities: Towards Creating Egalitarian Gender Relations in Afghan Society:

This paper examines how Afghan men from diverse socio-economic, ethno-linguistic and age groups challenge and redefine masculinities in the face of socio-political and economic changes. Understanding diverse and shifting masculinities and the men who practice more equitable gender relations by departing from hegemonic masculinity can help to inform more effective gender-based initiatives. The paper demonstrates the ways in which masculinities are constructed, deconstructed, and change over time and space in different ways for different men.

What were they thinking? Not much, as in no kidding. The author, Munazza Ebtikar, is or was a doctoral candidate at St. John's, Oxford. What a beautiful college, and who knows, perhaps she made it out before Afghan men decided to get all hegemonic on her compound. Let's hope Ektibar hasn't been reconstructed. You can write her here, to find out:

Have you noticed how everything the ProgLeft proposes or enacts produces the exact opposite of its intended result? It's like an axiom. In the meanwhile, here's the Commander-in-Chief of the, ahem, Free World:

Some kind of joke? No, this one's deadly serious.

Cheers,

  3. Some years ago a professional military officer wrote an article about Afghanistan and the populace titled, "20 minutes out of the stone age". I can't remember his name and my limited computer skills preclude an in depth search. Eerily accurate in his predictions.

  6. "It is not just that the elite class is incompetent – even kings could be incompetent without undermining belief in monarchy as a system – it is that they are so grossly, spectacularly incompetent that they walk around among us as living rebuttals of meritocracy itself. It is that their application of managerial logic to whatever field they get their grubby mitts on – from homelessness in California to industrial policy to running a war – makes that thing ten times more expensive and a hundred times more dysfunctional."

    Ten times????? If only.

  7. We spent a Trillion dollars (with a T) to bring this country out of the Stone Age. And it didn't work. Perhaps it will take maybe 100 Trillion next time around.

  10. Biden’s way of withdrawing our Troops from Afghanistan, was no doubt the most disastrous, and WRONG WAY to do this. As we all know it has led to the rapid demise of the Kabul government, and ten’s of thousands of Americans, as well as Afgan’s are left in a NIGHTMARE . The world has witnessed how the US evacuated its diplomats by helicopter while Taliban soldiers crowded into the Presidential palace, and the American Embassy in Kabul. This has dealt a heavy blow to the credibility and reliability of the USA. How can any country trust us after this?
Biden had our Troops evacuate and left Thousands of Americans stranded.
We saw that HORROR at the airport where Afghans were falling off the American air- planes after they were already in flight. Video images from the airport showed people holding on to a military plane in flight with several people falling off when the aircraft was in the air.

And now we have the potential for thousands of American hostages, and Afgans that worked for us now that the Taliban has closed the Kabul airport off. Where are they to go? They are running for their lives as the Pentagon sent orders for them to “STAND DOWN” and not to go anywhere except to the Airport! Go to the Airport? How in the world are they going to do that? They are tell them to sign up for “Evacuation” ARE THEY KIDDING? HOW ARE THEY EXPECTED TO DO THAT?
Biden said that the Taliban had promised secure passage to the airport. And Biden actually believed them? How can he or ANYBODY actually believe those Savages?
He is a Senile old Blubbering, Incompetent, Deranged, Fool that has been RUINING this country since the first day he came into office!
Biden has humiliated America more than Jimmy Carter did with the Iranian Hostage Crisis.
Many people cannot help but recall how the Vietnam War ended in 1975: The US abandoned its Allies in South Vietnam; Saigon was then taken over; and then the US evacuated almost all its citizens in Saigon.

Joe Biden Is Responsible For Creating Thousands of American, and Afghan Hostages and Humiliating America?

  11. @ Bix--

    "Joe Biden Is Responsible..."

Slow Joe occupies the office that bears the responsibility, and as such this stain will follow him for eternity. Joe does not know what effing day it is. He needs to be committed to a home that serves ice cream. It's his handlers that need to be hanging from the nearest lamp post.

That said, I heartily second your sentiment.
