Good News And Bad News

So what's it to be first, the good news or the bad news? Let's go with the good because this simple mind blog's all about boosting morale in these troubled and uncertain times. And the good news is this, there'll be two baptisms in Mission #2 tomorrow, which is a holy and blessed thing.

It also confirms upward momentum in that rural outpost of God's kingdom, PTL. And don't worry, the goodness keeps flowing; the Specialist, my eldest, is "feeling better." Now for the bad news.

After getting the J&J vax, one shot, cheapest on the market, the kid got really sick and had to go to hospital. He got a steroid shot, which helped, and we spoke, "Everything's OK now, Dad." I posted it, pleased. But last night I discovered it wasn't OK.

Thanks to Instagram, I learned he'd been in hospital every day this week and there was the photo to prove it. Serious sickbed stuff, no kidding and I'll spare you the photo. A series of texts later, it seems everything's OK again and no one's died. Thank God.

And so we end on a good note, endeavoring to think positive, train hard and fight easy. But I tell you, the crooks, malfeasants, psychosociopaths, scam artists and virtue-signaling mountebanks have got a lot to answer for. Will we ever know the full-scale perfidy that's been played on our nation and the world at large? I doubt it.

In the meanwhile, say a prayer that John makes a full recovery.

God bless,

LSP

  1. What our troops get is the lowest bidder supplied. Far to often there is a "Fat Leonard" in the background and venal REMFs in the supply chain. The quality is always suspect.

My late son, the Medic insisted on reading the information that comes with every batch. Often, he would insist on a different supplier, especially with his family.

Good that your son is recovering.

  2. You got it LSP.

I believe the worst of the worst. China and the democrats colluded to deliver Covid here resulting in massive mail-in balloting and election fraud. All to get rid of Trump. It was then used for all manner of citizen abuse and theft. Feeding frenzy.

Now that the dems know for certain they are above the law, what will they bring next and what will people put up with.

Also neither China or the dems could care less about the world wide disasters and death they engineered. Couldn't care less and most of the rest of the world will still love the liberals. Par for the course.

  3. Prayers sent.

Yes, much to answer for. Collecting on that debt moves another notch up my bucket list.

And the goodness did flow for me and mine today. UTA is holding four straight days of past graduation ceremonies that were canceled by fear of the Wuhan bio-weapon. They are being held in the new Texas Rangers Globe Life Field stadium, complete with fireworks.

So this a.m., we got to watch our youngest son finally get to walk across the stage (he graduated in December 2020). Sitting in the grandstands, with the stadium sound system, and watching the closeup on the big screens. Awesome. As he texted to his siblings as they looked on, "Chico State(CA)field? That's cute. I graduated in a billion dollar stadium, bitches."

His sister is Arlington PD and was working today. The fates kept the locals in check long enough so she could park her cruiser and come in to watch her brother graduate. She and I stood at the railing and waved so he could see where the family was.

Oh yeah, and today was my birthday.

  4. Prayers sent, Parson.

Sweet Little Wife got her first shot a week or so ago, and had zero reaction to it. We'll see how the second one goes....

First of all, WSF (above): I am VERY distressed to read that your son is no longer here!! Of course, I don't know you or your "late son," but the death of ANYONE'S child saddens me a great deal! God bless you and your family - and I hope & pray that peace has - or will - come to you!

And LSP, I'm very grateful that the news of YOUR son's health is now encouraging - but I'm totally steamed that our gov't forces the military to (1) get vaccinated and (2) goes with the most problematic vaccine of the lot produced to date! I hope & pray that he recovers FULLY!

  7. It's grunt tradition to keep the home front in the dark when TSHTF. No sense in worrying them, when there isn't anything they can do about it, you understand, or anyway is what a senior NCO counseled me early on and I still hold with it.

That said, it be frustrating. If my sainted Mother knew half the things I didn't tell her about......well anyway, we'll be praying for the Young Troop, for sure.

  8. I'm so sorry about John. I'll offer this mornings Mass for his healing.

  9. Three kids, two retired one still active duty. Oldest, retired NCO, has not had vaccine; daughter has, she is a retired officer; youngest, an NCO, has not and says he'll wait for the shakeout before deciding deciding. My wife and I got two, sore arm after #2 for a day. Governments of all levels, media and blindly obedient mask-wearers should answer for their COVID transactions, but, you know, "The science! The science!"

  10. J tells exactly the same story, WSF. Lowest bidder and there it is. No joke when they're playing with people's lives. I tell you, my thoughts aren't fit to print.

  11. Right with you, Kid. What a gang of evil psychosociopaths. Is that a word? Well, it is now.

  12. Thanks, RHT, I appreciate that and will pass it on.

  13. I haven't had the vax, drjim, but it seems most people are ok with it. Prayers for your wife, I'm sure she'll be fine.

  14. Juliette, what a nightmare. Let's hope this thing's run its course. Ye Gods...

  15. Thanks, Joy, I really appreciate that. He didn't have to get the vax but wants to visit family in Canada when he's on leave in the summer so... effectively he had to. It makes my blood boil. As for the Army getting the most dangerous vax at the lowest price... well, I'll echo above, my thoughts aren't fit to print.

  16. WWW, I was thinking exactly the same thing, and I get it. Still, scary for a parent, eh?

And I'll be sure to pass on the prayers. He'll appreciate that.

  19. Glad your crew's alright, Sgt. And yes, let's follow the science.

What a gang of outright stooge shill psychos. And it'd be a big so what, maybe, if they just did it to themselves, but no.

  20. Infidel, me too, no foolin.

Off topic, but could you please start blogging again. It's important. Where else do I have to post Gwyneth Paltrow attack comments?

  21. Sorry, I'm late to the praying.
I won't bother you with how I feel about the demonic shot.
Father, please help this young man recover fully, quickly.
    In Jesus' Name.

  22. I cannot begin to convey my outrage. I add my prayers and best wishes for Speedy4 recovery. I concur with the advice, "Keep it under your lid, kid. Don't worry the folks over nothin'"

I am rapidly losing my connections to this Army . . . I worry about the Soldiers, mostly innocent kids. I pray he makes it.

  23. 4branch... same here. I'm beyond disgusted. Outrage is mild. But hey, thanks for the prayers, really appreciated.
