Do your guns still work, for that matter, do you still know how to use them? There's one sure fire way to find out, go shooting and that's exactly what we did.
An AR15 performed flawlessly, putting rounds down range like a proper little heater, likewise a Glock 21. Well done, Austrians, you've produced a good 'un.
Speaking of pistols, I've noticed people have a tendency to shoot low with the Glock and some say that's because of the ergonomics of the grip. With that in mind I aimed slightly high and shot, ahem, slightly high. Excellent pistol and I always enjoy its explosive .45 ACP power.
We finished off with some .22 plinking against various threats including a bottle cap, someone's discarded Coors Lite can and our ancient enemy, unicorns.
It's argued that unicorns are harmless, mythical, noble creatures. We disagree, they're a right menace, just look what they've done to San Francisco and Austin. And the moral of the story?
Shooting is great, so get out in the fresh air and do it more often.
Gun rights,
LSP
As of Jan 1, you need a license and permit to buy even one round of ammo in California. All the firearms pictured on your bench are illegal to possess.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how the US Constitution has been suspended by liberals in the People's Republik.
Not the unicorns!
ReplyDeleteI've just been reading about that, LL. Of course the SovCal Republik will be much safer now. Imagine all those MS13 people wringing their hands in wounded dismay at the prospect of not being able to buy ammunition for their AKs.
ReplyDeleteBut Anon, sometimes you have to kill the herd to save the herd.
ReplyDeleteI need to get to the range. In lieu of that, when the temp is up a bit, I'll just head outside and plink a few.
ReplyDeleteWe had a momentary lull in the War on Weather, Adrienne, and were able to get out. It's been awhile...
DeleteDid you hear about all the 1911s the Army is going to be selling now that they are switching to the Sig Sauer XM-17?
ReplyDeleteWhen hubby was reading about it, he talked about crates and said it sounded like a lot of the 1911s would be brand new. Military and prior military were going to be given priority if they were interested.
I did hear, Linda and I'd like one. Don't know about their condition but interesting...
DeleteAs I understand from another article I read, some will be new; some may have been taken into battle, and some may be something other than 1911s. They won't know exactly what is there until the crates are opened.
