OK, that's enough Rainbow Unicorn awesomness for now. Here's sa pic from Salt lake City instead. I like the covered malls downtown and think it's a neat use of space.
Speaking of which, everyone seems happy in the mallspace. Perhaps that's because they're rich, or they haven't checked the prices, or maybe they're just happy to be knocking about.
Whatever the case, have a blessed Sunday.
I'm off to church.

Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteVery decent and successful Light Rail system as well...
ReplyDeleteThanks, LL.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking at that, Lukeya, with you in mind. It seems a very decent downtown system and I think it moves out to the suburbs.
ReplyDeleteSLC appears very well put together and kind of hip with it. That's not necessarily a criticism -- I quite like this mountain town.
I was in SLC with another federal agent some years ago. We did some work in SLC and were going to drive to Wyoming the next day. Being from cities (DC and LA) where traffic begins early, we decided to beat traffic by leaving up I-80 early in the morning. We left the hotel at 5 am and hit the road and I don't think that we saw another car. In Los Angeles, for example, traffic is always heavy by 5 am and only gets worse.
ReplyDeleteThe town has a bucolic and calming atmosphere about it as if people are not in THAT big of a hurry.
I have to say, I think it's very pleasant...

ReplyDeleteThere are people who feel that Utah is "too white" and they feel uncomfortable there. The same is true of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and the rest of the Intermountain West.
ReplyDeleteIf you have time, drive up I-80 East, get off at Park City and drive over to Heber. There is a little cafe toward the center of town on the right as you're driving through town. AWESOME BREAKFAST. There is also a train called the Heber Creeper. I took that once. It transits the canyon into Heber.
