Iran - Bombs Away

Looks like it's not been a good day to work at an Iranian nuke plant:

Fordow, apparently (everyone says it's a video from an earlier strike... so, but we get the idea):

What's your take. Is this an opening move, a demo of things to come if you don't back down, Mullahs? The first shot in a broader war if the Iranians shake the dice and decide to play on? Scot Ritter says it's save-face posturing. Hey, I don't pretend to know but feel free to chime in. 47 addresses the country at 10.00 pm.

Situation developing,

  1. Trump has a history, from both his first term and this term, of hitting the enemy hard and then stepping back. Let us pray that this is the path that Iran allows.

The ball is literally in Iran's court.

And I have to say this. Iran has been at war with the United States from the moment the Shah was deposed and Khomeini took over. 'Students' (who were mostly members of the military) attacked and took over US soil, the whole US Embassy thing.

Since then, they've directly and indirectly through proxies attacked our citizens and military personnel in the Middle East. They've attacked our Navy and taken sailors as prisoners-of-war (Iran's words, not mine) and damaged our ships and boats.

This is nothing different than what the Barbary Pirates did to the US Navy and to US shipping before President Jefferson said those immortal words, "Millions for defense, not one cent for tribute." Curiously, the Barbary Pirates were... islamists who saw it as their god-given instruction to destroy everything not-islam. Kind of like, well, Iran.

With modern tech, we won't even need to send in the Marines (The Shores of Tripoli,) or set fire to one of our own naval ships on fire (The firing of the USS Philadelphia by then a very young Lt. Stephen Decatur.)

  2. I've no doubt PDJT is sincere. I do doubt the defense/intelligence apparatus is capable of telling him the unfiltered and massaged truth.

  3. It brought back memories of Obama promising not to intervene in Libya and holding negotiations with Russia over it (despite supporting proxies there) and then going back on his promises as soon as Qaddafi started winning and began launching airstrikes.

It also brought back memories of Obama's and Bush Jr.'s dire warnings about the radiation damage that would be caused if nuclear plants were bombed by Jihadists, but the Corporate Media has been suspiciously quiet about that...oh well, I guess BlackRock and Palantir will get the contracts for any 'clean-up' and probably Bill Gates too.

  4. X2 to what Beans and WSF said…not messing around. PDJT’s statement to the nation - flanked by the proper portion of his A-Team - was short and to the point, no nonsense, no equivocation, and dripped true Alpha leadership…which is what WTP elected. May God protect Our President, Israel, and America.
