St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
O glorious prince St. Michael,
chief and commander of the heavenly hosts,
guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits,
servant in the house of the Divine King
and our admirable conductor,
you who shine with excellence
and superhuman virtue deliver us from all evil,
who turn to you with confidence
and enable us by your gracious protection
to serve God more and more faithfully every day.
Amen,
LSP
Thank You for continuing to post the Saint Michael Prayer, it is always needed.
ReplyDeleteAnon, such a powerful prayer!
DeleteAmen.
ReplyDeleteNFO, every day is a battle against the demon, as you know.
DeleteSocial media was rife with pearl clutching over people posting the St Michael's prayer, especially Orange Hitler's post of the prayer. Clearly he is advocating for Christian Nationalism.
ReplyDeleteI saw that, Anon. The DEMON hates to be defied.

ReplyDeleteHerr Doktor, I saw. The angel scalds them, and that's just for now.
DeleteThanks for posting this LSP - I try to ask St. Michael to be beside me in battle (everyday battles) and here is the first part of the super non-woke (theological term) Orthodox prayer to St. Michael: O Holy and Great Archangel of God Michael, who standest, as the first of the Angels, before the ineffable and super-substantial Trinity; who art placed as a watcher and keeper over the human race; who hast with thine armies crushed the head of the proud Lucifer in the heavens and brought forever to shame his wickedness and treachery on earth!
ReplyDeleteI love that prayer, Seamus! Perhaps the Latin's a bit more concise? :)
DeleteIt is the poets and the engineers both trying to say the same thing … lol
DeleteWonderful…hadn’t seen/read that in a while (but know I have a copy in my Mass book from 2nd Grade). Reminded me of this: “But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.””
ReplyDeleteJude 1:9 ESV
Paul, imagine the struggle over the Lawgiver!
DeleteHow do they work it when you become a saint. Will we refer to you as "St. Michael (squared)" or just St. LSP? I want to be ahead of the game so that I know.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very good question, LL.
DeleteMy guess, and it's only a guess, is that they'll say, "Commandant, DLC, Irreg.) or something like that.
Well, at least it's not Big Army. So.
