  2. Crusty Old TV Tech here.

Pershore, where the plums are. The very Heart of England.

I recommend viewing the British Transport Film "Heart of England", if Pershore, Stratford on Avon, and the Cotswolds as they were in 1955 are your cuppa tea.

  4. MrsPaulM, an upper level dressage type, was once invited to The Hunt in PA, north of Philly. Showed up in her Carhartt’s and Sorels wearing a stocking cap, dragging her paint horse in an old 2-horse straight load. Had no idea, only to discover it was basically an excuse to drink and party on horseback while the dogs did the work…”Hey everyone, over here! The dogs have a fox!…watching as folks ignored her while falling off their horses drunk. Heh

  5. Sorry to hear that, Paul.

I'm not part of the fraternity, annoyingly, but get the feeling there's hunts and... hunts. Serious horsemanship in the latter.

Off topic, everything is better with well trained dogs! Wish I had that kennel and several self-perpetuating coveys :)

  6. @LSP...Well, us Colony Dweller's do tend to expand proper British tradition with certain "atrocious" behaviors (said with a condescending English accent and jaundiced eye roll). That said, it was my understanding the snacks were epically full banquet. Heh

  7. Dear Lord, Paul, one thing I've noticed is this -- Colony Dwellers know how to shoot.

Let's meet up for clays and fun.
