This is the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius
81 million people voted for this aged, corrupt buffoon. Except that they didn't, still, many millions did. Whatev, we can all enjoy the Age of Aquarius.
Perfect song to sum up the ending of the 60's (which due to your tender age you managed to avoid.) Little did I know that my waiting for the drum lead-in at 2:17 portended the future drummer in me. However, listening to the lyrics is actually scary.
Back in the 1960's, my buddy (whose Dad was a Tulane University alum and donor) used to use his card to get us into the student union bowling alley and bowl away as the sound system played that song. Rock and bowl baby!
Saw them live at Louisiana Tech in 1970, and yes, they played that song and everyone got up and danced... Anybody that believes ANYTHING in the media today without checking is a fool!
LSP, for many, it is easier to follow along with the narrative than challenge it. As one of my teachers put it, back in the 70s, 'Gentlemen, we are here to teach you how to think, not what to think.'. these days, that attitude has been lost.
As the saying goes, "The difference between the Soviet Union and the United States is that in the U.S. the people believe the propaganda."
ReplyDeleteOur propaganda organs were all in for Biden in 2020 and a lot of people believed them.

ReplyDeleteGod bless you, LSP.

ReplyDeleteOne of my kids has a t-shirt that has President Reagan saying "I smell hippies!". I thought of that with this post.
ReplyDeleteAin't that the truth, Infidel. Even with the rig millions voted for the Corrupt Old Fraud.
ReplyDeleteAquarius.
Adrienne, drummer! Nice.
ReplyDeleteBut I just remember it, 1969 Milwaukee (my dad was chaplain at UWM). Students blew up the science building, curiously.
Pewster, I like it!
ReplyDeleteMy mom went to Sophie Newcombe, interestingly.
And apparently many do, NFO. Is the shoe starting to drop yet? Hope so.
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well, Parson. Stay cool, be safe and God bless!
ReplyDeleteTrying not to melt, Linda.

BF, I was taught/brought up with exactly that line, and it's a good one.
ReplyDeleteMan, has that ever been bombed into oblivion. Except, perhaps, for the very rich who can afford to send their sons to Eton. But even then.
