At the beginning of the conflict British politcian Lord Peter Mandelson declared that one of the reasons to oppose the Russian invasion was Putin's rejection of the Western position on LGBT issues. It is noticeable that despite Lord Mandelson highlighting this and elevating it above all other issues that might be involved there has been no sign of LGBT individuals or their supporters flooding to volunteer to fight for the international brigades in Ukraine. Could it be that it's not an important issue afterall?
I'd really be worried if that was my backup.

ReplyDeleteIt'd be an issue, Jim.
ReplyDeleteSo nasty, DOS!
ReplyDeleteI fear, WSF, that the Ukraine's finding that out.
ReplyDeleteRHT, I'd say that was right apt.
ReplyDeleteIt's all going on, Paul. Freakish, eh?

ReplyDeleteAnon, I'd completely forgotten the beastly "Lord" Mandelson, now I remember. Wouldn't he have been put in gaol not so very long ago?
ReplyDeleteThen there's the Trans Brigades. I have it on good authority that UKR trannies are being turned back at the border and sent to fight.
