Spiritual War

If it wasn't already obvious it should be now, we're in a spiritual war of light v. dark, good v. evil, God v. satan. A combat in which wickedness in high places seeks our ruin. So with humility entreat the heavenly host and its Archangelic Prince:

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

And because the prowling beast hates Latin:

Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio, contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium. Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur: tuque, Princeps militiae caelestis, in virtute Dei, in infernum detrude satanam aliosque spiritus malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo. Amen.

Crux sacra sit mihi lux
Non draco sit mihi dux
Vade retro satana
Numquam suade mihi vana
Sunt mala quae libas
Ipse venena bibas

Yes indeed. Vade retro satana, get thee behind me satan, drink your own poison, ipse venena bibas.

Defende nos,

LSP

  1. The prowling beast hates Latin? So Pope Francis is a prowling beast? I've always suspected as much.

  2. “We’re surrounded. That simplifies the problem.” - (Attributed to Chesty Puller, USMC but may actually have been uttered by his C.O., General O.P. Smith)

  3. If there is smiting to do, it would be useful to clean out Congress and the toadies who bribe them, the Executive Branch (including useful idiots at FBI and CIA). I'm not offering a comprehensive list, LSP. The Almighty has a better take on sheep and goats than I do.

  5. “But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.””

  6. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of the air.

  7. Infidel, I think he's a creature of the late '60s and early '70s. Which means pop music stopped in the '80s.

    What?!?

    Yes, you're right.

  9. Mr. Wolf, I believe their hubris will turn to nemesis in short order.

  10. Paul, "May the Lord rebuke him, we humbly pray, and cast down into hell..."

And let's not forget about the brazen gates of the anti-kingdom being no defense against the angelic host.
