My Dad, WWII infantry for 4 years in Europe would randomly say things like Weinder-Schnitzel Louden Boomer! with a smile on his face. He was a well adjusted fun loving man and a gentle man.
My dad never served, Kid, and became an Anglican priest. He wanted, I think, to become two things, an academic theologian and a bishop. He was spared both fates and was an outstanding pastor. So God was merciful. Mind you, he'd have done well at both.
Someone needs to come up with a beer named Erika. That would make a great beer drinking song.

ReplyDeleteSorry, Linda. I apologize :)
ReplyDeleteThat does seem to be the case, WSF. Will they recover their martial spirit? Don't know.
ReplyDeleteNot a thing wrong with that LSP.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kid, I appreciate that.
