My son used to own a video game store. His shop was across the parking lot from a K-Mart. One morning, he saw a windowless white van slow down and saw the driver talk to a young kid in front of the K-mart (which was closed). The kid walked away. Later he saw the van again and the driver talking to another kid. My son had almost been abducted while waiting for school to open one morning, so he was a little sensitive to this stuff. So he called the cops. Sure enough, they arrested the driver. He had a record and I think there were warrants. My boy got recognition from the cops and there was a newspaper article about it.
Let me in the Van!

What is it about white vans?
Ed, that van nearly got me...
ReplyDeleteAnd yes. Remember the Beltway shootings back around the turn of the century? A little impromptu sniper fire from, you guessed it, a white van.
