GOP treason aside, Borepatch observes, "What is striking about the fraud is the blatant clumsiness on display: the Democrats aren't even trying to hide the fact that they are manufacturing ballots in industrial quantities."
He suggests a sinister motive, per Theodore Dalrymple:
In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control.
A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. Right on and it's not hard to imagine the sinister scheming of today's Bolsheviks. But there's an alternative point of view.
The Donks might simply be rubbish, corrupt and obscenely overconfident, driven by an Infernal Master who always, in the end, overplays its bestial hand. Strike a chord? Note their consistent self-satisfied condescension, aka smuggery, and how Luciferian pride comes before a fall, or even a sting.
What do you think, evil scheming comintern wickedness, overconfident Satanic uselessness or both or neither?
As always, you the reader be the judge,
LSP
It is a pyrrhic victory. A senile geriatric President. A ruthless commie deputy. A Republican Senate. Almost a Republican house of representatives. Democracy a laughing stock. Any moral leadership US had, squandered by the dead rising to vote. BLM and Antifa running amok. Globalists buying island bolt holes. AOC drawing up lists. A censorious 'progressive' Social Media triumphant. The West led by a running dog lackey of reactionary capitalist/communist Chinese Imperialism.
ReplyDeleteI mean, what could possibly go wrong?
Anon, it's bizarre to watch and of course the fight's not over.
DeleteLet's see if things get more freakish. I'd be surprised if they didn't.
In the meanwhile, the agitprop misledia have called The Corpse.
I lean to: rubbish, corrupt and obscenely overconfident, driven by an Infernal Master who always, in the end, overplays its bestial hand.
ReplyDeleteSitting here wondering when the overplay part and the reaction to it occurs.
Same here, Kid.
DeleteAs Aesop said, paraphrased, "The last thing I want is a bloody neighbor against neighbor civil war... but it's still on the list".
ReplyDeleteI am reminded - as have many others - of the betrayal scene towards the end of BRAVEHEART where Wallace calls for aid and his reinforcements, bribed and bought off, ride away. I can't help thinking this is the same case here.
These GOP squishes like Romney, Rubin, etc., are tools to an end. What happens when tools are at the end of their use? They get discarded or hung up.
Like the Braveheart thing, N. Looks like the establishment fix is in, eh?
DeleteSatan had his way for decades in Eastern Europe but is losing. Poland comes to mind. Is the USA in for decades of Purgatory before finding the way back?
ReplyDeleteWSF, I've been thinking the exact same thing.
DeleteWhile Thomas Wictor may be right, he could stop with the "Trump supporters are dumb, distracted, and don't understand Trump." To quote: "After five years the vast majority still don't know Trump." Mr. Wictor needs to quell his prideful urge to think he's the only one who knows the truth.
ReplyDeleteCisa is disputing the ballot thing, but they did so back on Oct. 28th. Huh?
Today, in Theology and Sanity, I read about intellect and imagination, and the difference between unimaginable and inconceivable. While Sheed was referring to this concerning the study of theology, it applies to all of life.
It's time for our intellect to sort through this mess and quiet our imagination.
Since the beginning I've been saying Trump is playing 3-D chess and the opposition is playing checkers. Nothing has happened to change my mind.
As to the silence of the better members of the GOP? My intellect tells me they know way more than we do and they're "hiding in the weeds" until their input is needed.
As to the involvement of Satan, my intellect also tells me that he cannot win. Why? Because God told me so.
Rant over...
Time to plant tulip bulbs, garlic cloves, and drag some broken tree limbs to a convenient pile.
God bless you and all your readers.
Good rant, Adrienne! And tbh, Wictor was great on Twitter, less so on YouTube. Still, a sting would be good. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful weather here, maybe I'll grill something.
Have fun planting!
PS. I might bulk buy the Sheed book for the missions... so helpful.
America is over. We are done. What are our choices? Ignore the fraud because if we don't we will be punished or fight back? And fighting back mean civil war.
ReplyDeleteIt's sickening. President Biden will never be seen. Kamala will run the country. The Republicans (also in on the fix) will nominate a squishy RINO in 2024 also dedicated to globalism and sending our jobs overseas.
No. I see no future for America. We are done. Stick a fork in us.
Went to the store today. Virtually out of "consumables"... nothing. Very luckily they had what I wanted, but it was a specialty item. More common stuff - completely cleaned out.
ReplyDeleteInfidel, we may be in for purgatory but don't give up. Look what happened to the Soviet Union. Evil has a way of defeating itself, even in America.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised, N.
ReplyDeleteEverything's normal here but that can change in a heartbeat.
@Infidel: Begging LSP's tolerance... you might like my piece:

Please note that I've believed America to be over since 2012 (likely 2008 but I still had some hope before the SCOAMF's re-election).
@LSP: I heard fireworks - I think last night, or was it the night before. Someone's happy.
Yes, evil tends to defeat itself through Hashem's mercy to us. But evil can do a lot of damage in the meantime.
Heading to the range tomorrow to try out my new "Get off my lawn 3000". Got to get a feel for the old girl. Plus practice more with the carry gun. Got to get the holster on my larger carry gun to work better.
ReplyDeleteAin't that the truth, N.
ReplyDeleteStand firm.
Ah, N, range time!
ReplyDeletePowerful medicine.
New acquisition feels fine. Kicks less than I remember that size kicking, which is good. Had a LOT of trouble with ejection though... have to ask the store about that. Lube? Or what?
ReplyDeleteAlso tried one of my smaller items. Sights are definitely off. I'm not the world's greatest shot but I was going low very consistently, and my friend who joined me and tried it also had the same issue. When I compensated to what "should be" a high sight position I was more or less on.
