ughWSF, I was trained that way too, but it's all changed... tuck that right arm in. Probably makes sense with the AR platform -- have a search online and you'll see what I mean. Another thing they do, is take an extreme foregrip, right at the end of the handguard and often with an "assist."
Curiously, an ex IDF Sergeant called me on "horizontal" -- "tuck that arm in , LSP!"
But I dunno, hardly as though I'm going to get into 3 gun competitions...
Nice to see your brother enjoying himself. Sad he can't do the same back home.
ReplyDeleteJust a minor observation. He needs to have that right arm horizontal.
ReplyDeleteGood to have family time and family fun.
OMGosh! There's another one like you wandering about? Be still my beating heart.

Adrienne, he's the tall one!
ReplyDeleteRE arm placement. Maybe current experts are correct. I'll keep my old foggy ways, just the same.
ReplyDeleteWSF, my instinct's the same. Mind you it's hypothetical, just try buying ammo right now.
ReplyDeleteI've told my massive stockpile pals to send me a few thousand round for plinking... dammit.
