I have vague memories of Mombasa. The biggest one was the neap tide one night. Literally no water to swim in - even as young as I was it was barely up to my ankles.
I've never been, N. To Nairobi, yes, but not much more than that. Enjoyed it, too, and if I've been tempted to go on a horse safari in the Great Rift -- have to be fit though.
Why hasn't Barack moved to Mombassa (and its promise of a welcome)?
ReplyDeleteAn interesting video of another time. I doubt the princess would receive the same reception today.

ReplyDeleteDid you know there's 30,000 white farmers in Kenya? At least last I heard. At its peak 60k.

Jim, I doubt it too. A better time, I'd argue.

ReplyDeleteSuch a WICKED monkey, Adrienne.
ReplyDeleteBut Margaret looked beautiful, I thought. I like that style.
