Mad Mitch - A Moral


Do you remember Colonel "Mad Mitch" of the Southern & Argyll Highlanders? He retook Aden when he wasn't supposed to. The Left howled.

There's a moral here, if you care to draw it.

    This cost Mitch his career, but his determination to recapture Crater in order to recover the bodies of our dead soldiers won him the undying gratitude of their families and the deepest respect from the rank and file. As a result, Politicians hated him.
