Otherwise: Britain would not have survived without our help, but I have the utmost respect for how they handled themselves and fought during WWII. Maybe they could have prevailed but I think America's massive out-production of the war machine did the trick.
I think you're right, Kid. Of course Russia played a part too and my feeling is that they'd have defeated the Hitlerites on their own, but maybe not. If they had, England would be even more Red than it is already.
As it is, let's move on from the virus thing and see a sound Anglo-American alliance and, for the UK, a revival of the Commonwealth. Perhaps the latter's still worth a shot.
While I'm no fan of royalty in general, that lady is one fine human being.
