The classifieds website, Backpage, has been taken down by the FBI. Backpage specialized in prostitution pitches masquerading as dating ads as well as allegedly acting as a front for underage sex trafficking.
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Backpage was involved in 73% of reports received concerning child sex trafficking in 2017.
Backpage was America's largest classifieds service after Craigslist. DoSomething.org claims that human trafficking is the world's third largest criminal industry, after narcotics and arms dealing, generating a profit of $32 billion annually.
Operation Broken Heart
Of an estimated 20.9 million victims of trafficking worldwide, 27% are under the age of 18, with 300,000 minors lured into the sex trade annually in the U.S.
The last year has seen concerted action taken by police against pedophile sex rings and child predators, such as Operation Broken Heart, which resulted in over 1000 arrests.
There need to be many, many more. We are active.
Lock them up.

And throw away the keys!
ReplyDeleteNot to put too fine of a point on it, but a professor at UC San Diego was recently doing a paper on trafficking young women. I told him that you could buy - literally buy - Mexican and Central American girls in Tijuana for $150 a piece. He went down there with friends of mine and saw for himself. Families in the interior have a lot of children and they will sell them to traffickers for about $25 each, who mark up the product and push them to people in Mexico and primarily in the US. They're smuggled across the border in "clabo cars" with hidden compartments for another fee and end up as under age whores or domestic servants. It's real and it's not even hidden by MEXGOV. It's out there in the open.
ReplyDeleteDrjim, looks like they'll have to expand Gitmo.
ReplyDeletePlease stamp it out, LL. I know you're doing your bit.
ReplyDeleteAwareness is the best way to stop this odious practice, but in sh*thole countries, it's a common thing to see. Human flesh is cheap and poor families can't afford to feed all of their children. I don't get it, but I'm not poor and in the Mexican or Brazilian interior.
ReplyDeleteSad. But it's a start. May God bless them in their work.
ReplyDeleteLL, I don't know if pizzagate is the real deal or not. But I do know that Epstein's island was and that there's no shortage of top level Europeans involved in the wickedness -- Jimmy Savile etc.
ReplyDeletePerhaps we can't sort out Brazil's poverty but let's bust the rich and powerful degenerates who buy the children. How many of those are real deal Satanists?
Amen, Linda.
