Take note, you heathen, it's the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel today. So here's a prayer:
Holy Michael, Archangel, defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.
God bless,
LSP
There he is, killing a flying monkey. I didn't get a good view, but it looks like Lester Holt's face on the statue of the vanquished. I'm sure that if Hillary walked by the statue, she'd hiss at it.
ReplyDeleteHunh, you're right! That is Lester's face. Spotted.
ReplyDeleteAmen!
ReplyDeleteBe safe and God bless.
May Michael and his angels prevail.
ReplyDeleteAmen! Wonderful post, Parson! Wish I'd remembered! Honor to the kick-ass commander of the heavenly warriors!
ReplyDeleteThe Catholic version of the Prayer to St Michael was my favorite prayer growing up. It probably still is. Short. To the point. And badass (if a prayer can be badass).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. You too!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that, Euripides.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Grunt. Patron saint of paratroopers, interestingly.
ReplyDeleteA powerful prayer for sure, Theodore. Defende nos...
