Of all the holidays, Independence Day is my favorite because it's a picnic and fun day. No obligations beyond that. Thanksgiving means having my family around me without any other agenda and so that's my second favorite.
I hope that the day brings you slices of turkey and pumpkin pie and joy because the work that you do is so very important.
Same to you, sir. Being married to an American I get two Thanksgivings, and we were fortunate enough to spend last night feasting with some US expats blessed to live in Canada. They included a Texan couple, an Orthodox priest and his wife, who made the best pecan pie I've ever tasted. Wishing you and yours much to be thankful for in the coming year. Michael
Hope you had a happy one, LSP! And Blue Grateful, too. Of course, it's tough to have a bad Thanksgiving, considering the delight of a good turkey and gravy!
Thank you LSP. Please do the same.
ReplyDeleteSave some fowl for Turkey Blue's bowl.

Thanbks Dan, God bless!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, LSP. You always brighten my day.
ReplyDeleteDon't give Blue Isaac too much turkey. It's pretty rich for a doggie.
I'll be sure to save something for Blue Mendicant...
ReplyDeleteAnd joy of the day to you, friends and family!
Thanks Adrienne -- I'll watch out for Blue Melchizedek...
ReplyDeleteI hope your day was filled with good food, good friends, and the love of a good dog, Padre.

Blue Honcho likely strutted around like he owned the turkey.
ReplyDeleteThanks Padre -- sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, little Blue Turkey hound...

So true!
ReplyDeleteAs for Blue Gravybot...
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Or, as it is known in Merrie Olde England: Thursday.
