shoot it |
The other week a helpful person decorated the parish hall of one of the missions by putting Valentine's Day bears in red tin buckets on all the tables in the church hall. They sit there, as centerpieces.
After Wednesday's Mass I sat there, grimly staring at the bears.
"I should like to shoot that bear," I announced to no one in particular.

"I just shot my sheep," replied one of the faithful. "Why'd you do that?" I questioned. "Because he was a maniac," came the response.
And that, my friends, is just the way it is.
LSP
I had to laugh at this one LSP, mind you I had to also read it a few times to get the connection... and I still don't quite get it. But you wanting to shoot that bear is way too funny (sorry couldn't resist!) That's not saying much on this end though, the place I'm staying at gives the students all a little bear, some days I want to choke the bear, why I don't know... just cause I can or because of what it symbolizes? On a more positive note, I haven't strangled this bear YET.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! Oh, did you take the second photo? It's a stunning shot!
Glad you found it amusing Darlin. Just a small conversation I had the other day.
ReplyDeleteI was struck by my friend referring to his sheep as a "maniac". Never heard that before. As for the V Day bears...
God bless.
Bighorns are pretty cool. Never hunted them, but I have gotten close and glassed them as I was hunting deer or elk up high...
ReplyDeleteJealous of your elk hunting, Silverfiddle!
