and the Mass was sung. Managed to get horses and guns into into the sermon, which seemed to go down well. Then it was on to the next Mission, where everyone seemed pretty fervently into the service. Had an interesting conversation about red-dot optics with one of the Ushers - I've discovered that mounting my Aimpoint copy co-efficient with iron sights brings the dot more sharply into focus. He found that the same thing made him see double, which is confusing, but I have to admit I don't know the biology of the thing. The proof, I suppose, is in the shooting.
With that in mind, have a blessed Sunday.

There's nothing like a discussion of firearms to bring things into focus (even if the aimpoint is causing problems)!!
ReplyDeleteLL - weapons talk certainly sharpens the conversation. Confused about the a/point though - well, there's always something new to learn...

ReplyDeleteLSP, I think that only you could pull off a sermon which included guns! :-) The pick up trucks sure look familiar, that photo could have been taken in the country here in Alberta, mind you there are the urban cowboys who waste gas driving their monster trucks all over the city, like really, what are they going to haul around? No game here in the city other than sickly looking rabbits which I could easily fit into the trunk of my car if I was into eating sickly looking rabbits!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Monday!
I know what you mean about 'urban cowboys' Darlin - still, with that in mind, I'm tempted to upgrade to an F 150 - driving a Ranger at present... Not a bad little truck but kind of cramped.
ReplyDeleteYou must break free of Edmonton for the game!
I can't explain it scientifically, Parson, but people's eyes just don't all focus the same.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the same thing. One guy loves a certain setup, and another tries it out and can't stand it.
