I saw the post title in my feed, and thought....naaaw...NOBODY'S seen that movie! Fun little romp, and it was John Carpenter's first film.
Great little movie, drjim, always loved it.

I understand Dark Star started as a college film project of John Carpenter's and Dan O'Bannon. O'Bannon also portrayed Sgt. Pinback and voiced the bombs. The alien feeding sequence was a real hoot.
They did well, Jim. The alien was awesome, imo.
