Hear the US Treasury has received some $88 billion in tariff revenue since Bad Man Orange made the move. Since the Democrats love tax money, why aren't they applauding him?
ReplyDeleteThey've been great for people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who are taking advantage of export restrictions to seize more US farmland. They've been great for BlackRock too. And Scott Bessent, who worked for George Soros until last November when he became Treasury Secretary likes them. So does Howard Lutnick, former Democrat PAC-bundler now running the Commerce Department. I'm sure that the Democrat wing of the Uniparty is quite sincere about opposing the tariffs, though. They never lie to their voting base...
ReplyDeleteFunny how destructive tariffs levied by other countries upon the US are A-Okay and Fine and Righteous but tariffs levied by the US against other countries are evil and the worst form of protective capitalism.

Then again, the same ass-hats that hate tariffs levied by the US against countries that have been beating us economically with way too many tariffs also love it when US companies move overseas to exploit the very tariffs that make it very hard to impossible for the US companies making things in the US to sell the things overseas.
Me? I'm 100% in favor of Trump enacting the exact same tariffs that jerkwater nations across the world have enacted upon us. Hey, Cana-duh, wanna charge 200% tariffs on milk products? Well, back atcha, dumbasses.
Canada = Dumbasses, indeed, and self-righteous ones at that. A bad combination. We need Canada as the 51st state like we need another NYFC and/or Baltimore. Alberta and Sask, perhaps, but much of Canada is Teh Suck for our peculiar political purposes.
