Well They Won't Clean Themselves!

I stared at the guns and they stared at me. Impasse. "Well, we're not going to clean ourselves," and I had to admit the dirty beasts had a point so I set to. First up? An old Remington 700 ADL with a Redfield Lo Pro Accu-Trac scope, the reticle comes with a rangefinder of sorts and looks like this:

Hey, it shoots more than well enough. I call it "Shoulder Breaker" and I think the scope it came with from the pawn was issued in Vietnam. Glass is way better now but I've kept this optic because it fits with the gun's vintage and works.

Next stop, a "Desmond" or "TuTu," in the States it's known as a Twenty Two. This one's a Ruger American bolt with a fixed 4 power Hawke scope. I hadn't heard of "Hawke" until I bought the gun and the scope at Gebo's, now sadly shut. Whatever, an inexpensive solution, totally capable of shooting a shotgun shell off its perch at 50 yards.

Last but not least, a simple, lightweight AR with a cheap Primary Arms red dot, Fortis hand guard (light and easy), Hyper Touch trigger, Ballistic Advantage barrel, ancient CMMG BCG and Magpul this and that. Pretty much my go-to AR. Just a lot of fun to shoot, swift to target, light, and well accurate enough.

And now they're clean. Unlike, say, our First Family.

Shoot straight,

Predictions - Clean Those Guns

There's nothing quite like a bit of midterm madness to get the blood racing and the heart pounding as the nation goes to the polls in unprecedented numbers to decide the legislative fate of America. Will the Blue Wave  break against the Red Wall?

For that matter, will there even be a Blue Wave or will the great Democrat push be more of an effervescent froth which foams away only to leave an underwhelming puddle, sinking into the muddy ground of ignominious defeat.

Hard to tell, though the media agitprop arm of the Democrat Party is fast back peddling their chorus of a massive win, a win they hope will lead to impeachment of the hated, Nazi Russian spy, Orangeman. Yes, the same president who brazenly threatens to cut off the Democrats' supply of immigrant votes and NWO kickbacks.

Who knows how it'll turn out, they say, hedging against the kind of credibility disaster they faced in the aftermath of the November 2016 rout.

Do you remember that? Every expert in the entire world said that Hillary was going to win. The polls said so, the lying media said so, the globalist elite's intellectual satraps in the universities said so, anyone who was anything said Trump would lose.

Then he didn't and they cried, hyperventilated and went hog wild crazy, thrashing like wounded eels. Lo and behold, all of a sudden the experts didn't look so expert anymore. Nate Silver & Co. doubtless hope to avoid such embarrassment this time 'round.

For what it's worth, I predict a narrow GOP win in the House and a more substantial win in the Senate leading to a majority in both houses and, of course, in the Supreme Court. But what do I know?

I just clean guns.

Cheers,

You Dirty Little Savage

It's great owning an outrage of deadly weaponry, no doubt about it, but you've got to clean the beasts or they won't work.

Much like USGOV itself and the lying, corrupt, pugnacious mainstream media,  they're not self-cleaning, so you've got to do it yourself.

The deadly black rifles' bolts are especially annoying because they get especially filthy and no, there isn't a special tax redistributing other people's money your way to do the job; it's DIY. Still, there's a value in that as opposed to mindlessly relying on entitlements paid for by somebody else.

Task complete, sit back and enjoy the spectacle of clean, ready to go firearms safe in the knowledge that when our enemy the Weather strikes, we can always shoot it.

Of course these guns would be illegal in England, where you're not allowed to protect yourself because it's safer that way. Unless you're a politician.

Speaking of which, Hillary's been quiet lately, unlike Oprah. Please someone, anyone, lock them up.

Just Shooting The Breeze

One of the best things about shooting is how awesome it is and the other day's outing with my brother was no exception. Just a lot of fun, shooting the breeze with an AR and a Glock.

A Typical Aberystwyth Pub

Rumour has it that the Dallas Light Cavalry (DLC irreg) is open to overseas recruits, as long as they have a solid Texan connection and can shoot.

That might knock Prince Cider (Charles) into touch, but perhaps Aberystwyth is in the running?

One Flyer But Good Work

100 yard head shots with a red dot and pretty much totally fresh to the weapon. Not shabby at all, I'd say.

Well done, bro. Big fun to get out in the field and welcome to the Mess, irregular as it is.

Black Monday!

The markets were tanking, so I went for a shoot with GWB. The guns were black, although my pal took his 30-06, Winchester Model 70 Featherweight, which is wood and steel.

Market Forces

He wanted to sight it in before going on a shooting safari in Africa. I've asked him to send me a monkey.

Get in the X Ring

Winchester dialed in, it was time for some battle rifle action. I shot at the 100 yard bench and the ARs seemed on and well capable of Minute of Crashing Dow (MCD).

Man Down in the War on Weather

The pistols worked too, as witnessed by a handily swinging steel plate. But here's the thing, we're in a war against the weather, as well as market forces and their bankster backers. This took its toll.

Your Old Friend

It's raining now. I thank God for that.

Cell Phone Jihad!

I fought the Jihad today. That's right, the Cell Phone Jihad. The primitive savages had taken over the Western Province of my kitchen cabinets and were poised to cut off the compound's food supply. So drastic action had to be taken.

Terrorist forces were comprised of a Motorola i776 flip, a Samsung flip, a Blackberry and my old nemesis, a Samsung Galaxy Rush.

I attacked these barbarians at 50 yards with two AR 15 battle rifles, and you know the saying, the gun is a tool. Would these two rifles be the right tool for the job?

They sure were. The Motorola flip was first down, shot in half by a 62 grain dose of 5.56, travelling at 3,000 feet per second. The Blackberry was easy prey and next to go, with the not-so-smart Rush soon behind.

The Samsung flip was weirdly sturdy and stayed intact, despite taking two rounds in its annoyingly cheap and flimsy feeling case.

I enjoyed fighting the Jihad so much that I did it all over again. The cell phone terrorists took another beating and went down, for good.

So go ahead and fight the Jihad, just make sure you bring the right tools for the job.

Your buddy,
