Well That Didn't Take Long

Via ZeroHedge:

Yes, there is a war between religious fundamentalism and the spirit of love and tolerance. But we progressives here in America still labor under the delusion that the religion we need to combat is Christianity. But that's a strawman opponent, and has been so for decades. Since the 1990s, Christian extremists have essentially lost all their power, and are now toothless nonplayers in the "culture wars." Meanwhile, Muslim extremists, with guns, murder us, and on the left our only response is to bleat about "Islamophobia" and jump through hoops trying to explain away the self-evident religious motivation for the killings.

Oh sure, all year I've been playing the "Bernie or Hillary?" game with all the other default-Democrats in my social and professional circles. But this is no longer some kind of game. Our lives are on the line. Although I voted for Hillary in the primary, I now cringe inwardly with shame and embarrassment at having done so, and in November I will vote for Trump.

Who knows, maybe the Unicorn's landed, or begun its descent.

Bruce Jenner has always been a Trump supporter. Rumor has it that he's going to transition back to being a male, but I have no insight on that. I think that I saw it as a headline on a tabloid while standing in line in the market.

People have to decide whether they want 4 more years of worse-than-Obama or if they want sanity and economic prosperity.

Well it seems that America could make a choice between gun control or rent control. Here in Britain we have gun control but no rent control and hundreds of people are dying annually on the streets (there's an annual service at St Martin's In the Fields Church in central London but that's about it in terms of recognition of this fact). Anyway it will be interesting to see how this argument plays out in America. Some UK politicians such as Boris Johnson have said that to bring in rent control is the worst thing you can do to a city apart from bombing it. This may explain the failure of Western military policy in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and against ISIS. Rather than bombing them, we should have encouraged them to bring in rent control....

There's something peculiarly brazen about Hillary's lying, LL. Her latest genius level comments about Muslim terrorism are in a case in point. Maybe she'll get called on that.

Anonymous, I've never considered rent control as a weapon. Now I know. We should launch it at Raqqa.

Maybe there is some small hope for America after all.

As much as I wish it would have been Cruz and not Trump - who I am not sure IS sane - I will most likely hold my nose and vote for Trump and hope he is not a flat out liar like all the other politicians.

I just hope there will be enough Trump votes to counterbalance all those who are going to write in Cruz or vote Libertarian. Killary can not become president. She should be in jail.

Be safe!

Linda, I agree. Killary should most definitely be in jail, for sheer, brazen deceit if nothing else.
