Pizza, Pistols, Ammo, in Texas

Look how happy that slice of pizza is! And no wonder, he's got a couple of pistols and some ammo.

I haven't tried their pizza yet. Maybe I should.

Shoot straight,

They might not have had pistols, but there's a store in Hemphill that's part convenience store, gas station, pizza shop, and a little bit of hunting ammo. Standard East Texas stuff, .308, .30-06, .30-30, grab a box each of shells and pepperoni on the way to deer camp. This was during the Rita evac in '05, and I took note of the .30-30 because of a recent discussion on a gun forum, about arming oneself with a lower-profile firearm (something not an "assault weapon"), that could still keep up with a semi-auto. The .30-30 was cited as having a bonus, of ammo availability in most small country towns.

That sounds like a neat shop, Mattexian, and I've been pondering a lever gun. Why not a 30-30? Pretty cheap, lots of ammo and they work. Good deadly assault rifle point, to boot.
