Biker Mo-Draw, CIA Mo-Train

I guess everyone's waiting to see what the result of the Biker Mo-Draw contest will be. Will the followers of the Religion of Peace kill the cartoonists, and the bikers? Will there be yet another biker shoot-out, as Outlaw MCs and Jihadists duke it out in Phoenix?

Who knows, that's unclear, but what we do know is that the CIA has been training peaceful moderate Muslims who then join ISIS. That's it, ISIS, the same ISIS that we seem strangely reluctant to fight or even bomb.

Here's one, the former head of the Tajik OMON, Gulmurod Khalimov, trained by America and now in Syria with his ISIS friends. This is what he has to say about his patron, the United States:

“Listen, you American pigs, I’ve been three times to America, and I saw how you train fighters to kill Muslims. God willing, I will come with this weapon to your cities, your homes, and we will kill you.”

I'd like to see him try, in Texas. In the meanwhile, you decide if we have an effective strategy against the ISIS savages, and may the best man or woman win the Phoenix Mo-Draw.

Cheers,

LSP

As the Mohammed drawing contests become more intense, I wonder what undiscovered genius will present itself...another Rembrandt or Picaso? Since all you do is start with Hillary Clinton, add a beard and a turban it's not that tough, but it's the style in which it's presented.

That's a good question. We should find out later this evening and who knows, maybe an artistic genius will be discovered.

Let's see: off-duty cops vs. wannabe Mujahideen, cops win; cops vs. bikers, cops win. Kinda a toss-up with bikers vs. wannabe Mujahideen, tho if the Texas bikers are any indication, quantity has a quality all it's own.

Hey Parson. Nothing to do with your post, except to say that things sure are interesting in Texas of late. Are you Diocese of Dallas where you are? The principal of Wycliffe College in Toronto, George Sumner, is the new Bishop of Dallas. He was principal when I was there a decade ago, a good decision by Dallas, methinks.
Stay dry and safe,
Michael

Alright there, Padre.

I'm in the Diocese of Fort Worth, next door to Dallas but a different jurisdiction. Still, my friends there seem pleased with Sumner's election. And I've always heard good things about Wycliffe; were you teaching there?

All best.

No, I was just an MDiv student when Sumner was there. Wycliffe is one of Canada's strongest Anglican seminaries, good faculty there.
My favourite memory of George. It was Advent and our community eucharist, on Wednesday night, George is celebrating and is about to go into the packed chapel, wearing an old cassock and surplice and a faded purple stole that looked like rats had been chewing on it. The young sacristan protested. "Principal Sumner, that's a Lenten stole! Advent stoles are blue! That's purple."
"Oh? said Sumner, in his New England accent. He looked at it for a few seconds, then shrugged. "Well, it's blue enough!"
Another Sumner memory: he was instructing us 3rd year MDivs in liturgics and demonstrated Wycliffe's low church spirit. "The point of the Eucharist", he said, "is to get the bread and wine" (he pointed at the altar) "into them" (pointed to the pews) "as quickly as possible. Makes more time for preaching!" He'll be missed. Dallas is lucky.
