A Short Walk in the Snow

"I am just going outside and may be some time," I said to no one in particular, as I left our shelter in search of beef broth.

The snow had intensified, making it hard to see, but in the distance I could just make out the Cult Collective, rising out of the drifts. I knew there was a shop nearby that sold broth, but would I make it?

I did, barely, and sensibly managed to detour out of the wind to a pub, where I drank a pint and watched the snow.

Later on we ate a standing rib with roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. It was delicious.

Stay warm,

LSP

In the future please issue a warning, as I've previously asked pertaining to dead animals shocking my little soul (I'm a wimp), to also issue a warning when you are going to post a selfie.

To be assaulted by the visage of a handsome man who is also a "man of God" is unsettling - to say the least.

Anyway, glad you found a warm place and some ale.

I remarked to hubby as we stood at the back door earlier watching the doves and pheasants romping about that LSP would be busy rounding up dinner for us which is okay as long as I don't have to have a personal relationship with the aforementioned food.

Does that make me a hypocrite or just emotionally conflicted?

The bear hat suits you!

I will now go turn up my furnace AGAIN.

The pub was a welcome relief from the icy blast, Adrienne!

PS. remembered a prayer on your birthday.

Glad you like the bear hat, Jenny.

Pretty fierce, eh?

I'm hungry now...thanks a lot.

While you're eating a standing rib roast with Yorkshire puddings smothered in gravy, children in China are starving.... ;^)

oh yes, utterly ferocious. not unlike a smiling teddy bear.

Sorry, LL.

But it was real tasty.

Nothing quite like a ferocious bear hat to stir the warrior spirit, Jenny.

They have potential as a winter uniform item for the DLC. All you need to do is put crossed sabers on the front piece.

Good call.

In fact there's a shop 'round the corner that might have the very thing... will scout it out after Mass.

OK, first you post photos of a veritable Garden of Eden, then you come up with this snow stuff all over the ground. I'm staying in Arizona.

And now I'm going to fix some food.

That looks like Bigfoot's hand around the beer glass.

It was a bit chilly, Euripides.

Hope the food was good!

Alright there, Chas.

It does look like Big Foot's hand... spotted.

Nice hat. Probably less useful to you back home in TX.
